I have a garmin nuvi 200 that uses a micro usb to cigg lighter adapter

I was curious if this would work as well for my Bold? (with out damaging it of course)

Does anyone have the charger that could post the voltage specs and what not from
the oem blackberry Car charging unit?

I too would appreciate the full specs of a BB car charger as I have a few high quality ones laying around.

Not just volts but the amperage output as well. It will typically be on the low side - 1.2A, 1.4A etc.

My brother has been using the garmin charger in place of his BB for about two weeks.
It hasn't done any damage so far.
I would compare the specs, like what the other people recommended.

You can check the specs on your wall charger. You will be ok if it does not exceed those specs.

We sell igo at work, tip for garmin is a53, tip for bold is a29 and soon to be replaced by a32. I would have to say no it is not a good idea.
