I just noticed this looking at the photos. Maybe its the angle, but while in holster, it looks unusually high up...

Not bashing, I'll be buying this too and hoping they come out with a duty holster.

One of the things I really like about the Tour is its form factor. It's such a thin phone. Putting one of these cases on it would negate that. I'll just be careful with mine. I've never had a problem with my other BBs or phones.

Looks like Crackberry has a better deal (+)

They seem to be available around the 24. So to save some cash I will wait and Order from Crackberry....

I'm thinking about getting the Defender as well, but is there another case out there that's waterproof?

It's not exactly water proof..... But more splash proof...

    But really more for dust...

Layer 1: Thermal formed protective clear membrane. Protects keypad against scratching, as well as dust intrusion (layer optional depending on the level of ruggedization desired)

I'd order from Crackberry, but unfortunately, the shipping costs negate the savings.

Shipping, for me, is even greater at OtterBox ($7.61). I suppose I could get something additional at OtterBox to get the free shipping (@ $60), but that's a little counter to what I'm trying to do in the first place.

Thanks, but I was wondering if there were any waterproof cases out there. I did a search and came up with bupkis.

For those that want to order through OtterBox, there's a coupon code for 20% off. Use "techbargains079a" at checkout. Worked for me today.

Good find! I just used "CES2009" and it gave me 15% off.

Does this case cover the screen and keypad?

What's different between the defender case and impact case? The impact case is only $19.95.

This is what I understand ...

The Defender case has the 3 layers (clear cover, plastic impact case, and silicone cover) versus the 1 layer of the Impact (it's just a silicon cover, but with thicker portions for most likely impact areas).

The Defender has a "cover" for the screen and keypad. The keypad cover is "form-fitted" to still maintain the feel of the keys.

I suggest going to OtterBox's website (We've Got Technology Covered // OtterBox.com) and read what the differences are. There's a video on the Defender style as well.

Looks like good protection but looks way too bulky. Has anyone got the impact case? Is it a lot less bulky?

What wrong with going naked? The case hides how pretty the phone is. If you have insurance then don't worry about it.

When holstered, yes, it should go into sleep mode. If you look at some of the photos, the little silver circle is the magnet part I believe.

I had it for the Storm, best investment I made for it.
