Is it safe to buy one of the cheap charging docks on amazon or should I buy the one from crackberry or RIMM?

I got mine off of Amazon and it works great. I think I paid 10 bucks for it.
Make sure it is the RIM OEM on though, and bulk packaging just means it is in plastic and not a box.

I just received mine yesterday from Amazon (actually CCMAccessories who is an Amazon merchant) and it won't charge my Tour. It seems the connections don't match up. I kept trying to move it around and I would get the bedside mode clock for a second and then it would go away. It won't charge. Am I the only one with this problem or did I get a bad pod?

Depending on if it is the old Curve 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330 then go to Amazon.

Amazon.com: BlackBerry Charging Pod for BlackBerry 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330 Curve (Silver): Cell Phones & Service

I bought 2 for me and my husband and they work fine.

I ordered the same pod from the same merchant. I have no problems with mine. I would contact the seller for an exchange.

Thank you!! I sent them an email early this morning and just heard back from them that their RMA dept will be contacting me. I'm impressed with their CS so far. I just want a pod that works and not one I have to fumble with to get the connectors to match. One little bump, it's dead again.
