the 8300 cases dont turn the screen off...like they do for 8300 phones

so if you dont care about that

    go for the 8300 cases

The 8900 is a bit thinner too, so I assume the phone will be looser.

I found that the WHITE 8300 case for some odd reason works

    hi
i ordered this model for my 8900 curve

    check thecellguru dot com

or google search this model number FXBB8900R
    its pretty good.

the curve 8300 clips a weird spot and spreads the casing...

    cheap shipping,(ships from harrisburg, pa)

it has the magnet for "in holster" settings to work.

I bought that exact case before I went with seidio case holster combo. I bought mine on ebay for 16 bucks. Pretty nice case but I doubt I will ever use it since I like my seidio so much.

    hi
i have been using the holster from the cell guru dot com (i do not have permission to post URLS yet because not enough posts)

the magnet pops out and gets lost

i put a new magnet in from my old curve holster.
the covered with a small piece of black electrical tape

actually the original curve holster had a small black piece of tape also.

overall value is still there, just a reminder, if your magnet is just glued in , put a piece of black tape on it.

    No thx

I'll keep using the sleeve that came with the phone.
Isn't that thing really hard to get the phone in and out of... And it doesnt cover the top part of the phone. I use the seidio holster without skin. The holster is really secure and its actually the exact same as the regular curve.
