I just got my bb curve 8900 from rogers because my other one had a trackball problem so i sent it back to them. I have two cases The leather case that came with the phone and protects most of it just not the head of the phone, and a silicone case that protects the outer and back surface of the phone.

What is the best case to protect the 8900? I like the silicone case but it doesn't protect the front of the phone which worrys me since trackballs and inside pocket lint don't mix.

I don't like the case that came with the phone. I use the silicone case.

well phone+protectors kept in pockets are usually very bulky. i use clip holster and alternate with gel. you can also buy screen protectors for cheap (ebay $1), altho the lint problem would still be there. ive kept my bb in pockets and havent really had trouble with lint getting in the keyboard/trackball

Is it the Otterbox case that people have complained about hearing an echo? I can't remember details, offhand, but it sounds familiar......

the otterbox is the best. i recently obtained one and the thing is a tank. there was an echo but the folks at otterbox included some foam rings to place around the mic and it has gotten rid of the echo for me. I have heard of others say that the foam rings haven't worked though but they have other fixes for it.
