does the hard case cover the sides of the keyboard making it hard to get to the buttons on the edge, Q, A, ALT, P, DEL, ENTER?? A friend has a hard cover for her Tour and I think it comes up to high around the key pad.

My favorite case is the two part case and holster by case-mate. leather wrapped around a not hard but a little give material and then a matching holster. Have it for my pearl.I want that for my 9700. IMO the best case made.

PS My 9700 came from T-Mobile by way of UPS. Had to pay full price but well worth it. The phone came perfect, not a flaw in it. Up and running like a top, super fast, love the screen and just can not put the darn thing down. The battery life is great compared to my Pearl 8120.

OK I went and spent my hard earned $30 on it, its pretty nice. It has a snap in stud for a swivel clip if you like that sort of thing or I just have the filler in there now.

I've said before and I'll say it again: Cases are ********. I realize some of you like cases, so be it. But fact is you're covering a phone with a $30 case to protect a $10 bezel, $7 keyboard and a $10 battery door all while making the phone twice the size, weight, while making it look ******** and harder to use. Not only that, you're making it incompatible with charging docks which you should be using anyway. If you're not, you're now risking a $300-$500 device due to wear and tear on the USB port.

So the benefits of a case are what now?
