Hi...Please advise whether its safe to leave the charging pod on at all times.

I have mine alongside my bed connected to the mains behind the bed, which makes it slightly difficult to
have to switch it on and off every time I charge my 8900.

    thanks for your help.

Yes it is safe. There is an overcharge protector so you are at
    no risk.

You can test this easily. Use your phone for a day, normally. When you wish to charge, switch the phon eoff via the red Call-End button and then place the phone in the cradle for charging. The LED will flash green about every two seconds whilst charging and will switch on continuously when fully charged. The phone knows when it has become fully charged.

This works with or without the cradle and makes a handy nite-lite in hotel rooms.

I have mine on my desk and the one at home on my headboard plugged in all the time, since the pre-release of the 8900 with no issues!!
