I'm getting sick of T-Mobile. When my contract expires I'm switching to ATT. We get all the sucky phones cough G1 cough that no one wants. O well now I know what ill be using my Christmas money for since its not coming out until January.

Would an unlocked AT&T Javelin work perfectly for a T-Mobile user? Or will there be some features that dont work? Because the Bold does not work correctly on T-Mobile. Wonder if the same thing will be for the Javelin. I dont want to waste money with an unlocked Javelin if not everything works.
Well, whatever happens, I'll wait til RIM tweaks on the bugs that are more than likely gonna happen with AT&T. I'm still gonna be pi**ed, watching AT&T customers using the Javelin before myself! TMO needs to step their game up and stop trying to appeal to younger generation of cell phone users!!

It's a month difference, it's not that serious. Is it that big of a deal to you guys to get it first?

    lol

people would feel betrayed because some still see it as the javelin

    and not the curve replacement

    eventually everyone will have it

i wouldnt mind AT&T getting it, and exposing the problems it has

    for others to improve on

    my .02 cents

like a one month difference would help? it wont be enough time for RIM to make any manufactural changes to the phone...if you're talking about kinks in the firmware that can easilly be fixed with a firmware patch and upgrade.

Now that I think about it, a one month difference is [I]really[I] not that bad.

However, I am starting to see people post that it will not come our until the very end of March, which would be the end of quarter one.

Maybe it is too early to start speculation on when in quareter 1 it will be released on T-Mobile; but is it really going to be that late in Q1?

    yea

and a month would allow them the time to bring it to tmobile with that patch/upgrade

or that wasnt obvious before you responded?

if it came at the end of Q1

i'd get the Bruce-Lee N96 and call it a day

is it really that difficult to download a firmware upgrade? you just sound like a bitter consumer having a difficult time settling with the fact that tmobile isnt getting the 8900 first

just because the storm has firmware problems doesn't mean the 8900 does. the 8900 passed threw FT with no bugs reported. why is everyone saying "let at&t get it and see whats wrong so tmobile can fix it"? doesn't make sense.

i think we all have gone 8900 crazy and can't take it anymore

IDK much about BB business speculation but I think that this phone will be dirt cheap considering. I mean ATT has the iPhone and the Bold, both 3G big dawgs but the Javelin is nestled in there for consumers that want the premium feel without the premium price.

    just my thoughts.

no , 199 - 249 is what it will go for with 2 year contract

I would hope 199 since the storm is going for 199 w/2 year contract and the bold is 299.

The Javelin is a much less revolutionary device than the storm and the storm includes an 8GB SDHC Memory Card. The Javelin will be WAY less. ($100-$150)

no way will a new bb curve comeout and be 99.99 ....... 199.99 is what I expect it to comeout as
    11-23-08 10:19 PM
  17. thecyclinghen's Avatar
yeah no way it would be 99.99 since the current Curve line ups are going for that price after rebate!
    11-23-08 10:32 PM
  18. egginator's Avatar
Apparently It doesn't have to be 99.99, an 8GB SDHC Micro SD card costs about $30 dollars. It also probably costs more to manufacture a storm. These factors point to a price that is definitely lower than 199.99. It would be an outrage to have a price like 199.99 when you want to entice customers to get a Javelin instead of a Storm or Bold. And thecyclinghen, they're going for 79.99 after rebate (AT&T)....

Ah but if tmo has the software for the HSCSD with 4x edge speed that'll be fast enough for me.
