I reckon using this battery makes the cradle obsolete... It would be nice is the back would taper-off at the bottom so that it would fit into the BB cradle

I personally would not take a chance on phone batteries from Ebay. You have no way to verify the provider isn't some very cheap Chinese knockoff of something, and you're putting that thing next to your face, and in your pocket!

I'm sure you've read all the stories you've read of laptops catching on fire over the past few years...... Same types of batteries!!!

That thing is HUGE. The battery door is huge and fugly IMHO. It doesn't bring out the charging contacts.

I have the Seido 2600, and I took it off the charger at 9:00AM on Friday (it's now 4:00PM on Sunday). It's been light use this weekend for the most part, but my battery is currently at 75%. The battery door is a bit larger, but they only made it as large as was needed, and it really has a great feel. Something to consider....

that thing is way way way to big.... just get the Seidio 2600 battery.. last 5 days without a charge under heavy usage and also fits in the charging dock no problems and only adds 3mm to the phone.

Now they need to make a cradle that would accommodate the larger batt.

OP: I do not have this exact battery but I have some experience with Mugen batteries. They sell higher end stuff and are not cheap. They're one of the better after market battery MFG's. I've used both thier cell phone and replacement camera batteries. My experience with both has been good. The only downside is that their hi-cap batts come with fairly unattractive covers. This one actually looks pretty good compared to the one for my old Moto Q9h. I had it for about 4 months before I accidently washed the whole phone and killed it. The battery got hot and then open-circuited just like it was supposed to. It was kinda disappointing but did prove that they had the necessary safety circuitry onboard to keep you from getting hurt (i.e. it did not explode when it got wet and shorted). My photography cells have been going strong for about a year and half now (if not more) with no noticable drop in performance. I've had much better luck with Mugen than I have with the "Batteries Plus" (Eveready rebrands) cells. I don't know how long they've been around but I've deal with them a lot more than I have dealt with Sedio, who seems to be a good company too. Here's a link to Mugen Power: http://www.mugenpowerbatteries.info/...377/Categories
Can't find a pic of the battery+cover installed. Their website needs updating.

Are you using the BlackBerry OEM charging dock? I called Seidio and they said the 2600 wouldn't fit in the dock. If it does, I'm all over it tomorrow.

FWIW, I have dealt with that ebay seller on numerous occasions with different phones and never a prob and always shipped quickly. As far as the battery brand it is a very common brand and they make quality batteries. Check out their homepage.

Tell you what if I were to buy a battery that huge I'd figure out a way to rig a car battery up to my device first.

That thing is the size of a tackle box.

eBay has many many 2300maH batteries, with cover, for about $15 including shipping. Beats the HECK out of the 3300maH price...

The BLA9500 battery is the most common, and works the best. Get a charger that charges the battery OUTSIDE the phone unless you use a cable; the cradle chargers don't support extended batteries (the phone is too thick to fit in the cradle). The standalone battery chargers are about $10...

GET TWO.... (1) you can use one while one is in the charger; and (2) that way you get two doors; the damn things break easy... see my other post about 8530 extended battery doors...
