I used to own the DARE before UPGRADING to my very first blackberry (the STORM). A friend had told me there was some problems with 8 and 16 gb micro sd cards in that they slow the DARE down a bit when viewing pictures. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. Was that just a DARE problem, or would that have even been an issue? I feel like it could be true seeing as there is more of a space for the phone to look for a particular piece of information.

If a 16 gb card would not slow down my STORM could someone suggest a decent/cheap micro SD card to invest in? Thanks.

I have been using the 16 gb micro sd in my storm for about a month now and haven't experience any problems with it. The 16gb runs just as fast as the 8gb class 2 and 4 that I had in my storm previously.

Not all cards are created equal. Cheaper cards typically have slower read/write speeds that WILL slow down your device.

I like Sandisk; their Ultra and Ultra II series cards are the fastest that I have found. NewEgg usually has the best price and shipping.
