This is for people who want to experiment with their devices and test unreleased OS and radios. For others, there are enough autoloaders out there to fit most needs.

This is a draft that will likely be improved with time.

    Tools

    Get the files you need
    • Use sachup to grab debrick files of the OS you want to play with, for the device of your choice. There is a How-to HERE
    • Or download the files you need from any other trusted source
    • Or extract them from existing autoloaders in which case you're probably not interested in this howto...

    Create autoload.exe
    • Load Autoload-DevAlphaC-10.1.0.1485.exe in HxD
    • Press ctrl+n. It opens a new, blank tab.
    • Go back to the 1st tab, press ctrl+E
    • Enter 0 for start and 6435FF for end
    • Copy that block
    • Paste it into the new tab
    • Save that tab as a file, call it autoload.exe

    Create your autoloader
    • Create a new folder and put a copy of autoload.exe in it
    • Add to the folder the files you want to mix into an autoloader. Make sure you've extracted the bar files and maybe rename the signed files to make them easier to use. Something like os1692.qcfm and radio1484.qcfm per example
    • Now you can create your autoloader by opening a command window and typing:
      > autoload create <this is your first file> <optional 2nd file> myrom.exe

With autoload, you could create radio files to flash over leaked autoloaders per examples or OS upgrades, hybrids, etc.

You must extract .signed files from the .bar file.

Tip: Image files start with qcfm. Or you could use better, more expensive tools which I think can extract all files from the exe.

Is there any way by using this method to change the model from BlackBerry Dev Alpha to BlackBerry Q10?

I can see the model number being SQN100-3 which is the Q10 in fact.

That's not really my field, but my guess is no.
#1 There must be a hardware tag which identifies the DevC as a dev device. The IMEI is one of a dev device per example.
#2 All files are signed, so you can't change the content of the OS without breaking it. Just like you can't modify the bar file of one of your apps after having signed it.

Rather than downloading that massive autoloader and then using a hex editor, it's probably easier just to download CAP 3.10 directly.
    Here you go.
    Then just:
    Code:
    cap create os.signed radio.signed autoloader.exe

I agree. I just didn't want to distribute BB's property

Where do you get the OS files and Radio files? or os+radio? Can someone help me understand this?

Open Sachup, change 'Mode' to 'Debrick'.

Then whenever you find a firmware through 'Scan', it'll list two files available.
Download those files, extract them (they are zips) and you will have an OS and Radio file.

To create the autoloader, it's then:
    cap create OS.signed Radio.signed myautoloader.exe

Is there a way to created a signed OS file from BAR files? I am trying to create a hybrid autoloader with radio file from and any newer BARs from .341 for SQN100-3 and the remaining BAR files for. 228

I have the signed radio file and now I am trying to create signed OS file with the combination of. 341 and. 228 BAR files but do not see how to do this with the tools.

Is it possible or do I just have to create autoloader with signed radio from. 341 and signed OS from. 228 and then sideload any newer BARs?

You cannot create your own signed OS because you don't have BB's signing keys. That means that you have to use the method you've just described.
