I saw mentioned somewhere that 10.2 supports exFat. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Just got my 64GB SanDisk Ultra Mobile class 10 and it works fine. Just formatted it in the phone and have not had a single issue so far.

My card is recognized just fine, but is there a way to get the phone to actually use it to save pictures/music/apps?

Why stop there? Go for the 128GB. I heard it should work as well.

You could brag about the 144 GB's of storage you'll have!

i dropped a sandisc 64gb card into my z10 all was fine then after a couple of hours it wouldn't play anything on the card it would show pictures in the folder but wouldn't open them also when i went into file manager it had the date 1970 on everything and wouldn't open anything.i formatted the card through the phone as soon as i had it you could reboot and everything would be ok then it would lose the info again all the time the phone would acknowledge the card in the memory card part. is it just a sandisc problem?
Make sure it is an original.card and not a fake 32 GB converted into a 64GB. A friend bought one (relatively inexpensive through Amazon), and had the same problems. He returned it and bought an original (made by SanDisc) and has had no problems at all.

I sprung for one (found a deal in Amazon). It arrived, I plunked it in the phone, transferred about 20 gigs of data and it started getting twitchy. Every time I re-started the phone, I held my breath not knowing if it would fail to read this time or the next. Finally I wiped it on the phone, reformatted it on the phone and so far so good.

I am habituated to now waiting about ten minutes after the fact for everything to get settled after the restart, and I check the file manager function as a tell. If it's too soon (or in the case of former misbehavior), the file manager showed a blank screen. Docs to Go would not function either. So far, so good because it's a time suck to get all the data back onto the thing.

We did, works fine, but not bragging, anyone can do it......but we still have not had a large file to check the limit which is apparently around 4GB....

Can anyone provide help with questions I have regarding transferring data from a 32 gb card to a 64 gb, on BB Q10 10.2.1.2976

    1. Must I format it in the phone.I have already placed the card in the phone and it shows 59.4 of space available.
    2. I copied all folders from the 32 gb file to my hard drive. Do I copy each folder individually or can I do it all at one time.
    3. when I connect my BB10 to my PC it maps to 2 drives, one "Y" and one "Z". Why is this and to which drive do I copy folders from old 32 GB.

Any info provided is greatly appreciated. I"m not quite understanding this process. Thanks in advance

    1. You should be fine.
    2. Doesn't really matter, so long as by individually you mean one at a time (and not many simultaneous transfers).
    3. SD card and device storage. Whichever one is larger is your SD card.

    Thanks SO MUCH Thursk !!!

    1. Good to know

    2. By all at one time I meant selecting the "Y" drive that is copied to a folder called " Hot" on my laptop and pasting it to the "Y" drive of the 64 GB card. However when I try to access that drive I get the error Message " Y is not accessable", "Handle not valid" (Maybe I do need to format it in the phone" What would you suggest.

    3. I never knew that the other mapped drive was actually my device. This clears up a lot of confusion.

Currently, BlackBerry Link doesn't work for sd cards formatted in exFAT file system. Hence you would get a "Handle not valid" error in your mapped drive on your PC.

    Yes open camera app.

    Swipe from top down.

    Hit settings.

And activate "save to media card"

Just don't rely too much on your SanDisk and back it up once in a while. I had two of them die in my z30 and my wife had one die in hers. I'm not sure if it's a SanDisk or a z30/bb10 issue. I had a 64 and 32 gb in mine and my wife had a 32 gb in hers.

I bought a transcend micro card from Ebay I couldn't use it. I wasn't able to reformatted. I sent it to Transcend and they told me it was a fake! Beware where you buy your cards!
Did you hit up ebay and report? Get you money back?
    Let others know.

A while ago I bought "128GB" for like $5. Ridiculous, sure, I know.
It turned out to be 256MB fake-formatted / chip-tweaked to display 128GB. If you put any data on, it will be lost.

Got my money back, it's an interesting "tweak" to say the least. Hardware / Flash testing tools shall reveal fakes. Do this before you trust'em with your data...

The 1st thing I did after my Z10 arrived, bought a SanDisk Ultra micraSDXC 64gb class 10 on Amazon which was 49.40 at the time.
Inserted it in to the Z10 and formated it right away with the phone... Since than I had no issues at all,
Only thing is, that a 64gb card only showing up some 59,3gb in the "media card details" of the Z10. Anyway the card is fast without any delay in any operation while reading or writing.
Yeah so this is what I did with my Z10.

Now the old 64GB Sandisk broke down on me, I got it replaced by Sandisk.

The thing is though, the PC is able to see it, but it won't appear on my Passport. I can't format it from there either.

It's formatted as exFAT (by default).

You gotta connect blackberry to windows and turn on media storage in blackberry, format the card through windows as fat32 not using quick format straight on the SD card when it gets detected by windows as external drive. If it doesn't install blackberry desktop first. Then it will be formatted and supported. Formatting through Linux don't work.
