    Hello,

I installed OS 2639 on Friday but since that update, my Z30 battery get warm really quickly !

How can I do to avoid that? Does somebody noticed that too? Is it normal after a leak installation ?

    Thank you

    Robin

Did you use Sachesi or autoload and what Radio do you have? I had similar issues so I installed the 859 radio to solve my problem.

Yes, my Classic feels a little bit hot than it was on 2339.

I don't think autoloader will solve this issue.

Yes me too... Don't know why it's strange that just an update can make a phone hotter than before... Update just update the app and everything else but not the battery ...

I don't use autoloader on my Z30, never

I used an autoloader on my Z30 STA100-5 and it is not hot. Check your device manager to see if any apps are consuming a lot of cpu.

Give your phone at least 36 hours from updating to settle in and restart it at least 2 times during that time period, hope that helps.

I also found 2640 runs hot - switched back to 859 yesterday, then decided to go back to 2640 and give it a couple of days to settle. Installed 2640 this morning and it is running today at normal temperatures.

Autoloader is the best way to upgrade. No issues on my Passport so far. Works better than 10.3.2.2339.

Its normal. The phone seems to be working overtime while installing leaks. Every BlackBerry I had got very warm but always settles in nicely. Sometimes right after or sometimes a little longer. Should be back to normal in a day or two at the most

I had the same experience on my z30. Battery was very hot for a couple of days. I made several restarts and now it's normal with a longer battery life than at 2339.

    I did upgrade with autoloader.

Restart the mobile several times and then this may cease and goes back to normal..

My batteries (inside my Z10, Z30 and Passport) all will do this every time there is a new software version.
Normal - problem is if it goes beyond 3 or 4 days!

Which variant of Z30 do you have? I have STA100-3 aka VZW variant, loaded debrick and radio via Sachesi and haven't had many issues. I have noticed that playing games it warms up, but that is to be expected with CPU usage. I keep mine in Battery Saving Mode as often as possible and that limits CPU performance and hence reduces the load and therefore heat on the battery. I can't say that 2639 makes much difference over previous versions in regards to the battery from what I can tell. Don't know if this helps but thought I would share.

I quit using leaks because I fused the battery of my Z30 to the back cover. Still using the Z30 with the latest operating system and it is working fine. No more leaks for me.
