Well now I've done it...I tried to use the autoloader I've used many times, to reinstall 10.2.1.1055, and it just hangs on Connecting to bootrom...so I tried reloading from BB Link and my phone will not connect to my computer with a USB cable now...no matter what I try...any ideas?

Does your computer run Windows and if so Does it make a sound when you disconnect and or connect you're Z10 to the computer via USB?

Try what Andrew suggested, if the BlackBerry device manager crashes for whatever reason, then the only sure way to get it back is a reboot. I've had that happen where it's not detected and a reboot does the trick

I was having trouble getting my Z10 to sync in order to do a backup. I was trying some of everything,...different USB Ports,..cables,..boot...reboot,...boot connected and disconnected, etc. Nothing worked until I turned on "USB Tethering". After that my Z10 initialized quickly and the backup/restore process went well.

I had a similar problem with the 10.2.1.12xx leak. I couldn't get my phone to connect all the way to link or to the chrome extension. Kept getting "cannot communicate with device error via link" error. It wasn't fixed by different USB cord, reboot of either PC or of Z10. I ended up having to reload factory OS via kink "debrick". Then I reloaded via autoloader and all was fine.

I did the original autoloader installation with my old laptop. That is the only variable that I changed from normal leak install procedure. So I guess that messed it up.
