Well considering 2342 OS already mentions Q5, shouldn't be long at all for the Playbook. It's really only a matter of time till it can be coded properly. I wonder if I can ever get the autoloader to work for the STL100-1, if I can find the screen resolution hex values and add the PB screen resolution along with the blacklist values and remove them

I've already got a bricked PlayBook from my attempt to load 10.1.

If you want me to try and load something else, I've got nothing to lose.

Try making an autoloader without the radio file.

Doesn't work. The OS does not support/code for PlayBook resolution
Unless you do what Kris was suggesting, and add the resolution via HexEditors, or you'll be out of luck
I remember Kris also mentioning coding to remove the blacklisting of the 2.X OS, but I doubt that will work because it's written in the nvram

That is true, you would need to add resolution coding to the *.signed file. And yes it probably wouldn't work to remove the blacklisting from the *.signed file, however that being said, i believe the nvram also lies within the base autoload.exe before making a full autoload.exe file. So to edit the blacklisting in the base autoload could have a chance to eliminate the nvram issue.

Talk to xsacha about this. If this actually works, it will be great! He mentioned to me before that if we can eliminate the nvram issue, we can root the devices

Thank you Kris for your efforts.

here's me being curious. If (or let me say When) you crack the hybrid 2342, does that mean your method will work on future leaks?

I wouldn't worry about blacklisting of os. Surely, only pre 10.1 builds are blacklisted when you install 10.1.
