    Hi morning.

Are these upgrades (downloads) stand alone and self loading or Windows (exe)? If they're not self loading is it possible to install a new OS using a Mac.

    Thanks...

Windows only. And yes, they'll wipe your device clean. Make a backup should you decide to load it.

I think this is the snappiest leak ever next to 10.0.1.90

hahahahahah!!! So I just finished loading .2009 after only having .1916 for one day and now this one!!! LMAO. Guess I will be staying all day to get the next one.

    Way to go guys!!! :-)

One point of note; I've continued to indicate there is still the bug between Contacts and Contacts in the Phone App. I decided to go through the painful process of a clean install instead of restoring everything and it seems the problem is gone. I don't know which version fixed it, but it must have continued to carry over every time I restored my setting. Between .1916 and .2009 I did a restore of my settings and the problem replicated itself again so there must be a bug somewhere when restoring settings.

Since we can't do partial restores at a micro level it is practically impossible to pinpoint which file is causing the problems.

    Big annoyance :
Multi select in the hub automatically cancels itself for no apparent reason. I haven't been able to select more than half a dozen messages for deletion without the multi select cancelling itself.

That said, this leak is super smooth and the hub, active frames, and even boot up busywork (while rebuilding the hub) is quick.

Multi-Select does seem to be broken. It cancels itself after a couple of seconds. You have to be fast!

Based on posts around here, this leak appears to be good.
    Define 'good'

Haven't read anything here which shouts 'install me' so unless anyone has any concrete improvements to report I think I'll stick with 1880

I don't know. It was mainly an assessment based on various replies in the thread. Mainly that posters aren't raging with (virtual?) pitchforks.

He was asking for some encouragement to install this leak, not for a persuasive case to do so. He already had it downloaded and extracted and was looking for a bit of a push. If the 1880 leak works well enough for you and nothing's broken, then stick with it. I think there's an adage that says something along those lines.

That has been there since 10.0 versions, it just was set to blue by default
Really? I'll have to take your word for it, because there's no way I'm going to downgrade to 10.0 just to see. ha.

What do you mean? Plain text, you mean black? Yeah it's set to black by default when you are sending or replying to an email.

Got my update installed. Only problem: the iCloud caldav servers seem to be on the blink. The carddav and email could be set up fine.

Testing resumes tomorrow, for it's been a late one...

The Phone app Contact bug appears to be resolved now, although I wasn't on 2009 long enough to check. For me this has been worth upgrading for if nothing else!

Thanks Kris and lbfe, we *really* appreciate these leaks. Just installed *.2342... will report back later. Had .1916 just a few days and didn't have any problems, other than keyboard feedback sound did not work (well, it worked before I did a restore, so I'm going to do only a minimal restore this time around). Battery life has been very good with the latest leaks (although there is one solitaire game I play that absolutely demolishes my battery, goes down about 1% per minute, but I'm as addicted to that as I am to leaks and my Z10 as well :-)

    3 leaks in 3 days - it's a Leakathon

so by rights the phone should now be 3* faster/snappier and battery last 3* longer than the normal faster/snappier/battery improvements - lol

Cheers again guys - that's my Saturday am gone :-)

    Thanks for this new leak

Comes in handy, just had a reboot this morning with the .2009 leak.
Didn't have reboots with .1916 or the .18xx
    Downloading now...

Agreed how fast it was to install, and had similar problems with restores, so going minimal on this update. Just curious, you mentioned before that you did a security wipe... I thought that wasn't necessary since the Autoloader wipes everything already, or am I mistaken?

hey - one real good thing fixed!!!

When you input your account passwords and hit the eye button to check its correct, the keyboard no longer hides away which means you don't have to swipe it back in to correct your password :-)

Looks like to yahoo mail issues are solved.
Only needed to enter my password without open the mail account via Web browser to get it all working.
Next to. 1880 this was the fastest update / restore process ever.
Even BlackBerry channels restored all settings after installation.

Just perfect, gives us an taster for what ever coming next, not to mention what popping up in a few mouth.

Ok , with 1916 : No reboots , running fine , great os
With 2009 : Reboots , otherwise smooth , no laggy swipes from apps to homescreen.
So i will try this one , if i get reboots again , i will stick with 1916.

    Chris and lbfe thank you!

I'm downloading now. I also experienced the issue with contacts and phone contacts. Hoping this will fix it.

Can I ask you guys a BIG favour? Would you mind asking any contact you may have in BlackBerry:
    1. What's the situation with BB10 for the PlayBook?
    2. Is BlackBerry Bridge going to upgraded to return some of the many functions that was lost when we moved from BBOS devices?

Cheers guys. Keep up the great work.
