I tested this leak and weirdly my battery like has been great. Yesterday with mild usage, from 12 to about 4, my phone went from 47% down to 30%, that's really good considering I was on crackberry for a lot of the time.

My phone would be dead after leaving it overnight, not with this leak so far.

For those missing newstand. If you backup on previous OS, it will load it on automatically, regardless of OS.
However, if you did not backup the apps, then you will have to follow the many tedious processes suggested

Keyboard correction is still inferior to .85

All keyboards I noticed on any leaks are not as good as .85 for correcting. Is there any way I can only update my keyboard to .85 like we can do on radios?

    Posted via CB10
Doesn't the keyboard learn your typing style and frequently used words and adapt over time? If so, I would guess that depending on your "restore" post OS install, you may be starting from scratch again.

Kris, or anyone who sees this
How exactly do you extract the radio file and/or the OS from the autoloader?
I'm assuming that's where the radio files are from

The only thing that I have noticed is a little wonkey in this Leak the nfc/bluetooth connection for my "blackberry music gateway 2"
It didn't want to connect saying "unable to pair" until I did it manually.
Kinda a pain in the *** to connect manually now haha

I'm not sure this leak is good for me- I have the Verizon STL100-4- Had some apps with issues -so I re-loaded the 2009 leak which is awesome-

I'll continue to monitor- thanks everyone- BBY Rocks!

Hey Kris, first off thanks for your superb work in getting these leaks out and your tremendous support to the members of the forum!

Forgive me, I know I read it somewhere before, but this thread is very popular and as a result VERY LONG. I have this build installed on two -3s in the house. The things I've noticed are the battery drain (mainly) and MMS doesnt work, but we dont really use MMS, so no big deal if it works or not. Otherwise, this build works best in all other areas for the wife and I. I did the upgrades the usual way, download, backup, install, restore, battery pull, so here's what I want to know:

    1. I recall you said you swapped the radio file with .1880 I think, can you tell me the process for this and does it have less battery drain?
    2. I also recall you recommended a security wipe and restore for the MMS issue, is this recommended to try before step 1 above if the goal is to reduce battery drain? OR is battery drain specific to the radio file version.

    Many thanks in advance!
I had the same issue that mms wouldn't work.. I did a security wipe and then restored my backup and everything works now

Yes 2009 is built specifically for the STL100-4 but the 2/3/4 share all the core mechanics and HW library files so there for its all interchangeable

I guess I'm the only one that has a bug with my contacts not populating with BBM voice and playbook chat? I'm on an STL-4. I didn't restore. Just security wiped then added my outlook account to get my contacts and then went into bbm.

I deleted my outlook contact for my dad and then created a new contact locally (which added one to outlook) with just his playbook BBID email address. BBM Voice and video immediately popped up for him. I went into the contact and unlinked the local and outlook to delete the local contact and keep the outlook one and all of his Playbook video and voice stuff disappeared. Now I can't get it to show back up. WTF is with this bug? Completely random.

Edit: Forgot to mention, you can go into BBM and they are available for voice chat. But the voice chat doesn't show up in the contacts app.

Judging by the amount of complaints with this leak, I think. 1916 is the most underrated of them all.
