Have you tried 1961? For me battery life was much better then 2009. And no random reboots, which I did have on 2009.
What you mean is 1916 build right? Nope, skipped the 1880 and 1916, these leaks are flowing out way too fast, can't keep up with it *whew*

Fido, and it used to say LTE, 4G and 3G/2G

Yes a few of us had this issue. An aforementioned security wipe worked for one user, I'm putting my device through this right now to test as well
Ah and Kris, based on your experience so far which leak build do you recommend for the best battery life?

Yea use a virtual machine or bootcamp
So you've successfully done this on Mac using virtual? I have never installed a BlackBerry leak but dying to. Hesitant bc I had a kernel panic using virtual fussing w an android device recently.

Haven't had a chance to test battery life on this leak, last night after install went to bed without charging was about 45% at that time, turned on bedside mode, woke up with about 30% left 10hrs later. Since then I noticed this network issue, so been trying to solve that, just got a full charge than the idea of a security wipe came up so im in the process of doing one of those. This is the problem when there is no previous testing done on a leak, I can't really attest to anything because my phone is in the hotseat being blown up with BBM, Emails, PINs, Twitter and CB forums plus PM on broswer, all while on max brightness and NFC enabled aha leak days kill my phone

Are your contacts cloud based? if so it'll take time to resync

.1880 is just so solid for me. Normally I jump all over leaks but. 1880 is so solid, I'm pretty content with it.

Try another restore? Are the contacts from a particular account?

No this doesn't work, the RIM-sourced auto-loader kicks out after complaing its in a virtual machine. I won't trust any other autoloader that says otherwise...

Has anybody had an issue sending pictures in a text? I get a red X and it says "general problems " with. 2342

Is there a fix? Everything else is flawless

On Verizon and have not had an issue with this. MMS working as usual and I did not do anything special (security wipe) to have it still work.

Thanks for all the help earlier. Got it up and running. Installed OS, and restored data. The only problems I have noted so far is that my prior texts are now showing a phone number and a contact for each, so unless I delete the old conversation (and there are a few I do NOT want to clear), when I text someone, they get it twice. The only other thing I have noticed is that the keyboard sounds are gone. In the settings, when I try to open "feedback", it doesn't open. Anyone else have this, or any suggestions? Otherwise, loving the new OS. Cheers!

Again, me, too, on this one.

I haven't used a leak better than 1880 on my Z10, and if you asked me what could be improved about the 1880 for my usage of the BB, I couldn't give a good answer.

It seems as though you are just asking for problems with the subsequent leaks, especially since it's not clear that the rebooting problem has been solved.

I understand that there are a couple new features, maybe, with texting (hold the number down and you get a choice to call or text), and maybe an improvement with side loaded Android apps (mine work OK, the ones that work at all), but the battery life with this leak without changing the radio apparently isn't better than with 1880.

This may be the first major new leak that I skip.

That's sad news for me. Means I will have to wait for official or borrow a Windows machine. We only run Linux and osx in this house .... and windows virtually when needed.

Has Instagram worked for anyone on this leak?
I have Instagram loaded and working.
Thanks. I get an error that I need the latest version even though I am using the one side -loaded from this site.

ETA: I uninstalled instagram, downloaded the file again from this site and reinstalled. All is good now. Thx.

Too many darn posts to go thru...I'm sticking with 2009 for a few days since I've only had it running for 36 hrs. Number of reboots is less than previous leak so it's an improvement. With this being memorial day, too much family stuff going on to sit here downloading, then re-downloading hundreds of app world apps, THEN rearranging all of them like I have now. Maybe I'll try .2342 next weekend when I have more time.
Maybe someone can create and post (in new thread for easier find) some change logs for these latest leaks?

I've never been able to load an exe file OS (6, 7 or 10)onto a BB using a VM on my Mac. That's because the USB connection won't hold on a VM, I think due to the fact that the loading process takes place in an MS DOS environment within Windows, and the VM can't handle that. I even had to get Windows 8, which I don't like, so that I could put Boot Camp on my MacBook Pro Retina. There was no way to install my old Windows XP onto a newer Mac's Boot Camp.

I have the problem with the contacts showing twice (phone number and name) for existing conversations. I do not have the problem with the feedback in the settings as I can open it up and adjust the volume on the keyboard sound. Verizon using STL-4.
