I would like to have a few anchor icons yes....but they should be user customizable.... as I do not use the native browser so having that there would be a waste of space for me.

If they do it absolutely they will be customisable
I did this like an idea *

No thanks, prefer it the way it is. Possibly the option to change the search icon for something different, but that's it

don't you want options? If they opened up the API to do this sort of thing some people will love it some people would hate it. It's all about options

Completely agree. Having the search, or even the each of the phone, search and camera icons customisable would be enough.

BB10 left the route of the bottom icon bar and I don't wish to see it return.
I'm also really against the new 'classic' devices with the return of the trackpad too.

I'm of the opinion that BlackBerry, and all other companies really, need to drive things forward, and not go back on themselves. Yes, I can understand that many people miss the trackpad, hell, I loved the wee trackball on my 9800 9600, but things have progressed and the reinstatement of this - now extra - line of hardware buttons alters BB10s sleek and crisp design, reduces screen size and/or increases phone size, and in my opinion is a step backwards.

Rant over. Sorry, I got carried away...

Just an FYI. 9800 had a trackpad not trackball. Even 9700 had a trackpad. 9000 had a trackball. So did my Pearl 8100.

    To a point.

Personally, I'd like an option to turn the bottom three buttons off, so I don't keep hitting the camera when picking it up.

Yes, but I don't want it becoming a messy free for all either. Options and customised features are great, but there has to be control. Not to mention the fact there is no room on the screen for what you're proposing

I would second this, as it's a pain in the buttocks. I bet I close my camera app more than any other one.

+1000. And every time I curse touchscreens, wishing I had the ability to turn it off and use a trackpad instead. I'm OCD enough that repeated accidental touchscreen taps drive me crazy. I also think half my phone's battery is eaten up by "oops" apps opening just to be closed immediately, all because I dared hold my phone casually for a second without turning off the screen...

Apologies, my 9600 with the trackball, 9800 with trackpad. [now edited to correct]

Don't you all think that the removal (or ability to remove) the phone app is just odd? Come on what if it it's an emergency and someone picks up the phone.. the phone icon has to stay in one place where everyone expects to find it.. just my thoughts

I won't say I want them changed. I can't say I do. I function very well with BB10 the way it is. As for options, yes, options are good. I just don't think this is the kind of options we should be bothering with.

On/Off sounds good, maybe allowing a very tight selection of SYSTEM options (camera, phone, search, browser, bb assistant, options)... But that's about it.

It's not really about design and eye candy. He's making a suggestion, not claiming he thinks it should look like that.

I would like to see media conversion or video and audio. Built into the OS.

And over everything, and mms format of video and voice notes for recording.

Hi quality media is great and everything, but what's more important is being able to share it in a meaningful way is even more important.
