    Three things I can suggest:

    1. Make sure you're running as the administrator, is in you have admin privileges on your pc
    2. Remove the battery from the phone first. Run the autoloader, after the autoloader starts, then plug in the phone to your pc (N.B. You can then reinsert the battery after the autoloader has started and is doing its thing).
    3. Make positively sure that you are running the right autoloader for your device!

    Hope this helps.

Make sure that your device gets recognized and connected with your win 8. Usually it's because the driver doesn't installed correctly. If your device is recognized and connected with your windows, you should be able to see both of your device memory from the win explorer.

If your computer can't see your face device, uninstall and then reinstall link and try to connect again your device with your computer.

I would recommend also using a USB 2.0 port. In the past I've had issues with the 3.0 ports.

I've used the autoloader twice on my Z10 and once on my Z30 using Windows 8.1 with no issues.

You seem to have something amiss, but it's not Win8 that's holding you up in this case.

Right click on the autoloader file and select "Run as Administrator "
