The problem is that you can connect to the router with your device but the router itself is having problems with the dsl modem connection to the Internet. Sometimes it can also be a misconfiguration on the router and the modem is fine. Anyway begin by power cycling your modem and see if that returns sync.

    The same happens to me.
My iPhone and iPad can get data while Z10 cannot.
    It's because the Z10 can't get a working ip.
It worked after disconnecting all devices, restarting the router and connecting the Z10 first.

This happened to me last night when the phone was in bedside mode. 40 mb of my data allowance was used up. BlackBerry needs to sort this out.

OK, for me it only happens now and again but when your on a modest data plan it's a real concern.

Having this issue on my Passport, Z10 and my wife's Q10. While my wife's iPad and laptop connect and work fine, same for my iMac and laptop. All phones on 2339.

Only way to solve the issue when it comes up is to delete the wifi profile from the phone and connect it again.

    From my Jamaican Passport.

Come on guys it's your router. If you can't update the firmware then do one or both of these 2 things:

    1) Set your blackberries to connect to the router as static IP instead of DHCP. That should sort you out. Need to set this in 2 places, the router as an authorized device and in the blackberry saved WiFi profile settings. If you do this then there are no leases to renew etc. It'll connect instantly.

    2) In BlackBerry only saved profile you can also change band from auto to 2.4 or 5 whichever your router is using that way there is no checking.

I haven't needed to do either because I'm running Tomato firmware on my WRT54GL but the above will also help you.
