This is to report that Wi-Fi Scanners and Analyzers (BB10 native bar apps as well as Android apk apps) have stopped working on OS 10.3.0.442 (SDK) and OS 10.3.0.296 (leaked) . . . while they perfectly worked on OS 10.3.0.140 (leaked). (They all work on OS 10.2.x.xxx.)

I do not believe that this problem has been caused by updates in Android runtime, as BB10 native bar apps no longer work . . . I wonder what has been changed in OS 10.3.0.442 and OS 10.3.0.296.

Android apk apps (There are many such apps listed in Google Play.)

I have never had working Android wifi scanners working. I think you have been lucky.

I installed Wifi Analyzer by farproc, Android, and it seems to work just fine. I did try a couple of other that did not even load.

As for other bar files, I have several other files that were side loaded and they work just fine.

That's not necessarily true. You can convert an apk into a bar file. The app is still an android app. And all the screenshots from the op are from android apps, even the first one.

I installed 10.3.0.296, loaded the known working bars from 10.3.0.441 over the top then loaded the settings bar from 10.3.0.116 on top of that (to regain the ability to adjust notifications for email accounts).

I then performed a security wipe and loaded all my apps from scratch.

All of my Android apps work including two different WiFi analyzers.

Figured out one thing which is different with OS 10.3, if you are connected to a WiFi Network WiFi Analyzers won't show anything but if you disconnect from all WiFi Networks WiFi Analyzers work as expected.

With earlier OS versions WiFi Analyzers work regardless, at least that has been my experience.

Thank you very much for having kindly shared your experience . . . I have confirmed that WiFi analyzers function properly when my BlackBerry 10 devices are disconnected from WiFi networks.

WiFi Scan (by Mr. William Alexander) is one of few WiFi analyzing apps (maybe the one and only such app) listed in BlackBerry World, while inSSIDer is popular on PC and Mac.
