Flash memory enters a battered state after excessive writes. So, after a fresh os install your phone may take a day or two to settle in and show the real speed.

This will be even more true if you did a security wipe as well.

not sure what you're trying to get across exactly, but after a new os install the phone needs to sync accounts pull in info etc so it takes a day or so to settle in

I'm treating my BlackBerry like a BlackBerry after a OS leak or Hybrid. Reboot pull Battery 5 times after first load let it sync in. been doing this since the beginning of time. Seems to definitely help from first installment. Working great.

May or may not help, this just has to do with the memory modules physically. Read up on SSDs as it's the same tech.

That may help, may not Idk, but I do it since you asked. :P
Fragmentation isn't supposed to affect flash but I've found on my pc that it does after a certain point.

    Good or bad?

Just don't want people screaming like neanderthals

BLACKBERRY IS STILL BLACKBERRY F THIS AHH!!

Same thought was kind of going through my head but few hours in everything settles.

And to poster who said something about syncing in, even before that immediately after OS reboot I notice lag and then it settles in.

    Dam, 2354 is fast though.

I always start from the scratch after an update/autoloaded OS. Thanks to EAS I dont have to make backups. System is very responsive when it is blank. It gets little laggy when syncing my EAS, but as soon as the sync is done, everything is back to normal. Just my 2 cents.
