Hello, I know this may be a really frequent question but I can't find an answer for my exact problem...
I recently installed the leaked 10.3.0.1418 on my Z10 STL100-2 and everything is working really fine, it happens to freeze while going through apps but the main problem is that my battery used to last around 5 to 6 hours in normal use, the device monition would always show me that, now it goes always to 3 hours only, and takes much more time to charge too, it gets really hot when I use while connected to the charger...
It goes from 100% to 60% in like 1 hour, this is really an issue for me cause I'm always on the streets and I need battery... is there anything I can do to expand the battery life? and also save it? I have already activated this "Flip to save power" at Advanced Interactios, but it saves only when I'm not using, should I go back to 10.2.1 or what? thank you all

Most probably you have a bad install. Do a reflash of your os and do not restore the settings. Battery life should be better or at least equal on 10.3. That's the case for both my Z and Q.

It does drain quickly first run cause of the syncing. Should stabilise after a few hours.

Gerardo, did a reload improve on battery drain (substantially)? I'm experiencing the same issue. After 24 hours after initial install, getting only 3 hours off full charge.

Took a few days, but battery on my Z10 lasts almost all day after updating from 10.2.1.xxxx to 10.3.0.1052 (SIC wipe, autoloader, no restore).

My Z10 always takes a few days to "settle" after doing any software upgrade, then battery life returns and the heater turns off.

Even after re-installing the OS, my battery still doesn't last longer than that, it improved a bit, lasting just one more hour

As others said, you have to wait a few days for the OS to settle in, I've upgraded from 10.2.XXX to 10.3.1.396 and this build for me has the best battery performance so far.

    What I did:

    1) Make a complete backup using BB Link
    2) Do a security wipe of the phone
    3) Install with autoloader new OS
    4) Full restore device with link

The security wipe was the process that took the most time (about 45 minutes), but I'm getting over a whole day without charging the Z10, this is the STL100-3

    Regards

The average battery time of my Z10 has improved with virtually every leak I installed... I'm now on 10.3.0.1418 and it's giving me (on average) some 10% extra battery time as compared to 10.3.0.1154...

I didn't do a security wipe before using the autoloader, do you think this has some influence on the problem?

Can't hurt to try, also, don't be afraid of 10.3.1, I have had virtually no issues what so ever and for me was one of the best leaks ever tried on my Z10

Where can I find the 10.3.1? I used the 10.3 Autoloader from a forum link that crackberry posted, is the 10.3.1 full or for developers? what features are working and which ones are not, can you tell me?

For reference on people reporting that the wipe is preferable before loading os try here:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...loader-909209/

For all information on the leaked 10.3.1 see here:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...q5-z30-964005/

(I downloaded the link from the first post, it was a FULL OS and for my device was 2.7GB, huge size, but again, for me totally worth it)

10.3.1.634 autoloaders are available for Z 10 but it's crippled os. I installed it and later installed missing apps but still that was not meant to be used as daily driver.

If you have a STL100-1 that would be correct, I have STL100-3 and is working great as daily driver since last week

Sicmultiwipe is the best to do before running an autoloader if you're experiencing problems. Then you're absolutely sure that you have a fresh install.

This has been my battery performance over the last few days on 10.3. All accounts on...

I had this problem of battery draining so fast, even the battery did not last for 3-4 hours after installing the 10.3.1.938. with light use

So i backed up the contacts, settings media, did a security wipe, re installed the OS via the autoloader, after that, restored the contacts and settings. and started downloading the applications again, now almost in 7 hours used only 29%

The best clues are on your phone, using device monitor.
