Personally, I think BlackBerry intentionally keeps us on a fairly long leash with respect to leaks, and I'm grateful for that.
Yea, I am not a tinfoil hat sort of person, but I also think BlackBerry sort of likes it this way. I don't know who takes software entrusted to them and hands it over to a third party to be posted publicly here (and we all know better than to ask), but I do know think that if BlackBerry were really worried about it, they'd pursue things a lot faster.

There is no way they *don't* know and monitor this paricular sub-forum. And some rehosted software links have been active for a long time. You can still go to the radio thread and the links still work (last I checked).

All speculation, of course. I am just glad we have them.

I've only ever had two files removed, one from mega for 10.1.0.2009 and one from my dropbox for the BBM10.2 file

Do you think that was a bandwidth thing from the host? Or a legal thing from the host... or BlackBerry. I lean towards bandwidth. Speculation from me again.

Verizon requested the .2009 removal, unsure about bbm.

I am totally with you on this. Being on AT&T in the US I think I would have shredded my contract years ago if I wasn't able to to grab some leaked updates here and there. I cannot express my appreciation enough to people like Kris, xsacha, IBFE, DarcyTallGuy and others who have kept me in the game.

As noted above Verizon did the 2009 and BlackBerry did the BBM

PS: Leaks are, for the most part with the exception of a few recent ones, typically 2-3 weeks behind. While you're installing what you think is the latest and greatest, BlackBerry has already trashed that OS and is many revisions ahead. But heyyyy... whatever floats your boat.

LOL. While most on AT&T wait for....10.2 10.1 to be released.

Someone has to leak it without the permission from blackberry. BlackBerry can upload a an official beta version to users, why leak it unofficially?

This is a great question which I dont have the answer to but most likely to control bandwidth to the beta site.

If BBRY released an official leak in Beta, the site would be flooded within a minute.
