Please. No renderings of how people think things "should" look. Had enough of that in the call screen thread. Hard on the eyes.

What version are you both using? Is there a newer (non SDK) version than 10.3.0.296? If so, that was a very secretive leak because I never heard/read about it.
The SDK version is newer and it works just fine in it. So no, there is not a newer non-SDK version that I have gotten my hands on, but the SDK is more than 100 builds newer than the version you are on and the quick image popout functions work just fine.

I use the spacebar. For the onscreen controls, I would prefer tap to focus, hold to lock, button to capture.

There is no spacebar to take pictures on a full touchscreen device.. use Volume Keys

The one thing I hate about iOS, as an iPad owner, I hate having to find the exact area to press to snap the photo.

Touching anywhere on the screen allows me to hold my device anyway I want.

    Posted via CB10
So, you hate all cameras and camcorders? They all have a dedicated button...you don't have to hunt for the volume buttons...they will snap a picture too...vol up or down...they both work...

Do all the people who like to "tap anywhere "to take a picture, also like to have to switch screens to take a video? Don't you have to hunt around to switch to take a picture from the video screen?...once you play around with the 10.3.0.296/442 Camera App you will get used to it and really appreciate it.

I thought it was annoying that I would take a picture every time I barely touched the screen, but...i miss it. Missed a few photo ops because I touched the "wrong" part.

Use volume buttons...hard to miss on a Z10...They stick out...you can feel the bumps...shiny silver things...on top (when you hold in landscape mode...)...Either vol up or down, take your pick.

Or if you're on landscape, you can also turn it upside down. So that your right thumb can easily use the volume button below the screen to get that much stabil shots.

And all your pictures will be upside down when viewed on anything other than your own device. My wife inadvertently turns hers upside down a lot. She has sent me plenty of upside down pictures. LOL She shot some video over the weekend, and some of the videos are upside down (well, actually sideways if you want to see it full screen) on playback, even on her own phone.

So you mean the glitch-laden .442 that people are saying to load up then load the .296 bars over any apps that don't work? No thanks. That's more hassle than it's worth. To be clear, the image pop-out works just as it has since 10.2.1. I'm saying the pop-out (expanded text) menu for Delete and Share doesn't pop-out anymore. The buttons themselves are still there and function as normal. The pop-out text was very useful to me in that I could quickly see which button my finger was on without giving it much attention.

I thought that the new method touch to focus will also enable us to choose the exposure of the subject since the camera works on spot metering.

    What upside down?
    Did you even try it?
I just took a shot just now and it doesn't even becoming upside down.
LOL.. so much about giving inputs on things you haven't try.
Try it now. Turn it upside down, take a picture and then put your phone straight up.
Does it render the picture upside down?
    No, right?

Take those upside down pictures you took and try viewing them on your computer or MMS them to someone else and see how they're upside down on those devices. Now how silly do you feel right now? Still ROTFL?

LOL. No need to apprehend such remark because obviously THAT didn't happen to me.
I took pictures the way I did, sent it to my friends bbm on iPad mini, and guess what? It was straighten out the way I saw it on my phone.

    Nope.

No disorientation. Same view as I had. And she's using a BlackBerry Curve on os5.
So, yeah. I don't feel silly on the ROTFL remark.

I have always used the volume rockers on my Z10 for photo and videos. I just got my Q10 a few days ago and been using it as my dedicated device. I like the space bar option on the Q10.

And as you can see, no disorientation issue.

A screenshot doesn't cut it because it could be rotated easily before posted on CB.

And here, ladies and gentlemen, is my proof that I took picture with volume button at the bottom. And it shows straight up as it supposed to without editing.

And I'm still LOL and ROTFL.

I prefered using the volume keys from day one... gives me instant feedback and I usually don't watch the screen, so I might move the focus cursor by accident.
