As always they should leave both options for the user to select the one that fits best... I prefer touch anywhere hope they leave the options open or just don't change it.

Sorry but the 10.3 way is much better. Much easier to focus now without the accidents and you can still use the volume button.

I miss the old call screen but the camera is now much better then the old way.

Nope. I'd much rather have the new tap to focus. And now when someone else takes a picture of us on our phone, we won't have to have an instructional session first.

Hated the touch anywhere. Always took photos when I didn't mean to. It was a nuisance.

I prefer the touch anywhere way of taking a photo. I feel I move the camera to much trying to depress the volume rocker/mute button(s).

So just touch the blue button on the screen...

I have no issues dragging to focus on 10.2.1. Maybe they they should optimize the sensitivity of touch by the little green focus box so that its unlikely that an attempt to refocus would register as snapping a shot.

Of course the most logical thing is to give the user the option of dedicated snap botton or my preference since I love tap anywhere to snap.

Tap anywhere or click on a dedicated icon does not make a huge difference for me.. alternative ways the work in any case!

What I would really like to see in 10.3 are DSLR-like manual controls to change, ISO, exposure, aperture and white balance.

Also would be nice to have the intervalometer (nothing more than a timer that takes pictures every 30-60-90 seconds) to make timelapses shoots

I would love to have also long exposure to do something like this:

Who else prefers current way of taking photo by touching anywhere on screen?-img_20140608_091303_edit.png

I do not want to replace the DSLR (and it is still not possible with the actual technology in the phones) but the mobile photography is heading in that direction and would be extremely important for BlackBerry to offer this kind of experience out of the box and integrated in the OS. Apparently the hardware on the new phones will be also a step ahead (13 Mpx with digital stabilization). The tech review need to be extremely positive also in that area!!

Please BlackBerry get it done this time! No more 9900 cameras without AF.. but good hardware coupled with great software. QNX can do that more efficiently and smoothly than Android or iOS..

The touch anywhere option. Having a fixed button sucks. Better have a setting to let the user select the default action: touch anywhere or dedicated button to take a pic.

I'm confident when I say that all the Q10 users don't care whether it changes or stays the same as we all most likely use the keyboard space bar to take pics, but an option for either/or would probably please both crowds of full touch screen users. If it had to be one or the other; then touch to focus, hold to lock focus and on screen button for snapping a picture would likely be best.

An option will most likely not be given by BlackBerry. If they believed in giving options hopefully 10.3 is full of them. This sounds like they're receiving more feedback from a small circle of users who don't like the current method. My guess is not the same circle who didn't know how to use the old call screen but another group of people who don't grasp the current concept.

I've never touched the screen to take photos. Not on any device. Results in too much shaking. Way easier to use the volume rockers(works on 10.2).
