You realize microsoft operates all over the world, not just in a section of Florida right?

Do people in Florida also get confused because they think someone is taking a ride on a wild cat?

I could have sworn that Microsoft only operated in Florida, must be my closed Florida mind, while riding my wild cat to work, at least there are no texting and riding wild cats bans in Florida.

What happens with Android is that the previous version is released to Open Source when a new current version is adopted.

What that means is that with the release of Lollipop, we should be seeing Kit Kat as the next target for the BB10 runtime. I have no idea what the timeframe is on this.

AFAIK, there should be no problem with ART once Lollipop is released to Open Source, unless Google decides to make Android a proprietary OS and remove it from Open Source. ART will be Open Sourced along with the rest of the OS.
No. All versions of Android are open source, Lollipop included.

Google services on the other hand, are never open sourced. They are Google's property.

Android 5.x Lollipop is the 1st Android that properly supports 64bit so hopefully that means that BlackBerry will support it next year when it (hopefully) goes 64bit with 10.4

I don't use Skype on any platform. It's gotten worse over the years even on PC.

It belongs to Microsoft... you should know what's the fate of what falls under MS... See Nokia

Skype is unreliable and featureless on Windows Phone and on Windows 8 Metro Mode (it's the same app, indeed)

    That says everything.

    Posted via CB10
I made the mistake to install the Metro app once - how on earth they released this. It is hard to believe but it is impossible to lower down the volume of the other party. They are completely nuts.

And one of the most expensive services ever, although they appear free.

It appears that Amazon is moving its in house OS to Lollipop, so I imagine that to keep using the Amazon App Store, that BlackBerry would need to upgrade their runtime https://developer.amazon.com/public/...eloper-Preview

What about everyone that has a Galaxy S4 or older android device? Will they just be cut off?

I'm sure they will still keep supporting the "old" store if the above information is indeed true
