    it's 2141 vs 1925 ..

    or 2102 vs 537

answer, you need to try yourself ... I find newer is always better despite the rumors of it being not.

For me 537 had less issues.
My battery didn't drain as fast and my email accounts didn't all become disconnected twice one day three time another day.

But 10.2.1.2141 with its quirks has a few things I dig, like volume control will now show the song playing if you're listening to music.
Also now you can go to the next email while in a email.
There are a lot of other things, all listed in a thread I don't remember what it was labeled.

Just know my above issues you maynot even encounter so don't let that dissuade you from trying 2141.

Just to clarify, the features you list have been available since the .537 release. More so, the next email option has been in since 10.2

So with that, none of your stated features are anything new in the leak.

None of those features showed up for me till I loaded 2141.

I've had 429 537, and now 2141 and those two listed just showed up for me.

What do you mean by that? What's the difference between the two sets you've listed?

I have 537 waiting for me to install, but I'd like to know what 2012 fixes. I'm worried that if I install 537 I won't have 2102 available after that and I'll be stuck with the bug ridden 537.

2102 fixes security issues and bugs, you should always run the latest leak if you intend to help.

Are the camera, signal and ActiveSync bugs corrected in 2102?

Signal and ActiveSync yes, I am unsure what the camera bug was. See this link to see what has been changed:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=905611

My provider released 10.2.1.2102 as their official 10.2.1 release hence why my knowledge is limited.

Camera bug was the lack of auto-exposure and no face detection.

Does anyone know what Bell Canada's official latest release is?

Updated Android Runtime. Though I don't really see the difference in speed or performance when running android apps; maybe it's bc I don't really play games?

The top two numbers are the OS versions. The bottom two are the software release numbers.

Seems like the OS version was always the one referenced not long ago, but things seemed to have morphed where some members refer to the software release instead which can be confusing.

I was on an older leak but I can say that the move to 1925 resulted in worse battery life.

A bit more to it than that.

The OS is what we here on the forums refer to. Carriers always refer to the Software release. It's also the number presented on the first page of the "About" screen in "Settings". You have to select "OS" from the category drop-down list to even see to the OS version.

Of course, you only get a Software Release number once it's been developed into a carrier release in the first place (whether any carrier actually releases it is another story - 10.2.1.1055 had a SR sometime after the initial leak, but never went official from anyone). Remember that some of the early leaks didn't even get a Software Release number.

Why they can't be consistent, I don't know. But, it's better than with the Legacy OS releases - there you had 3 sets of numbers: the "Package version" or Bundle (as Desktop Manager called it), again only referred to by the carrier; the Application version, which is what we in the forums called the actual OS version; and the Software Platform, which no one ever referred to. I'd have to double check my Torch 9800 later, but I think the phone itself only reported the App and Platform versions in the about screen.

But, it's not new. And, I wish BlackBerry would just settle on one set of numbers for everyone to refer to - reduce the OS confusion if nothing else. No one else has multiple numbers referring to the same OS release. Fancy name, maybe... (*cough* Kit-Kat *cough*).

From an end-user POV, I don't think software release or version numbers mean much. It's "download the latest available update and go".

For me, I don't care what the numbers are. I don't want to fiddle and monkey around with leaks, I just want it to work. The big 10.2.1 update has several bugs in it. Is there a second maintenance release that's been pushed out or is there only one official 10.2.1 out there? I don't want to upgrade to 10.2.1 if there's no further update from Bell.

    Why are you sorry.
I'm not sure why it showed up so late as I addressed already and was told already had you read the previous post.

Once again to be clear it didn't show up for me till 10.2.1.2141.
