Rumor has it there are differences in the core OS and carrier data files.
This thread will likely be crunched by the compactor that is the crackberry mod team anyways. Look that the findings and fixes forum to find that answer.

the higher build number means a newer version. Newer releases should have fewer bugs, be more stable, have a better batterylife and so on....
but at the moment nothing is guaranteed because all the OS we get are leaks (-> not official releases) so sometimes they have quiet annoying bugs

I have just installed 2072 on Z30 a short while ago over 1949. No doubt, it gives feel of more polished, smooth and hope to have better battery management.

Really? I didn't notice a single darn difference. Lol! Hoping that the battery works out though.

The pop-up notification for email / message has a different colour band to it... see the band in yellow.

The network performance has become slightly better than the old radio.

Cool about the radio, are you att? I noticed the color band, but wasn't sure if new or like the last time I saw it on 1949 I believe, it disappears after a few days, kinda acts like a "tutorial" on instant previews.

I am on Airtel India... not sure about the yellow band. I remember it not being there on the .1949 since the beginning... will monitor it though...

OK. Hoping I get similar results in the radio department anyway. I will have to see with the band too. It would be a nice addition if it's permanent!

Yes because the battery life on .1949 is *** on my Z30 compared to 10.2 1

OK. Mine stopped popping up too, but I think it'd be a nice touch if it was permanent. The colors had a nice look to them!

Would like it to be permanent as you mentioned. Would give a nice touch to the OS... a little touch of colour
