Another source (from China) says it's true. So... who knows?
Wish we could get the updated android runtime tho.

Who knows are the ones who loaded the 10.3.3 dev build on their devices so the real changelog is already known (I posted it in several other topics) and it's not what that blog claims it is.

This list would be for a 10.4. Why would BlackBerry spend this much time on an update and then bury it under a x.x.x release.

If it is taking this long then, don't you think Blackberry might have/be putting some "extra stuff" in??

We sure hope so because they should really update their OS if they're gonna exit hardware so that these BB10 devices run for a long time!

Well, it is very strange, how they needed 1k+ builds to pass the bloody NIAP when iOs and Android are already certified...

    Where was the culprit?

iOS and Android were certified by NIAP themselves, BB10 is getting NIAP certified by a 3rd party: https://www.cse-cst.gc.ca/en/canadia...uation-product

    that's ok.

The question is, WHY the hell, we need 1000+ builds to pass the valuation?! Was so many miles behind requirements that it needed 1000 builds?! I kind of doubt, having in mind, that BB was already working with governments and the OS was already, at some levels, in line with such requirements.

the fact that it is certified/valuated by third party does not change the question - why 1000 builds? don't you think, that in order to have right encryptions (without additional functionalilties etc.) 1000 builds is kind of too much?

on the same hand, here's interesting bit:
    - Q: What is the average time for a product to complete evaluation?
    - A: An evaluation in NIAP can be completed in less than 90 days.

It says on the NIAP website that the process can take from 90 days to 6 months.
