I'm using a Q10 on Sprint in the US. I have upgraded myself to 10.2.1.2102, and FINALLY Sprint has released an OTA update, but it's 10.2.1.2674.

Can anyone here give me an idea of whether I should go with the OTA update...pros vs cons sorta thing?

Newer is always better..and it's official. Updating is a no brainer I believe.

I'm also on 2102. Working great, no issues - none. I also like newer, however if no real improvements I'm not sure I'm going to update. Unless I know all my Apk's won't need to be reinstalled I don't see the advantage. Sprint constantly drags their feet and put a lot of effort into trying to "switch" us to icrap or android, wouldn't be surprised if they put in some sprint junk to slow it down. I think I talked myself into ignoring this update.

I'm not doubting you but can you elaborate on how you know this? Maybe that might explain why many of the app bars have lower version numbers including the Android Runtime.

Updating OTA is always non-destructive unless something goes wrong in the middle of it. I'm on Sprint, just updated to official last night and all my Android apps are still there, as well as contacts and everything else. I didn't even do a backup, I just went for it. I was on a leak, I think it was 2141 but not sure and don't care.

    OS bar file > META-INF folder > Manifest.mf

10.2.1.2758 has a build date of 25 February, 2234 has a build date of around 14 March, last I checked.

There were some files in 2234 that were newer than even 2947, so for whatever reason, Sprint is using the Z3 support branch instead of the EMR (10.2.1.2141+) branch. Probably just the usual idiosyncrasies of American carriers.

Do you think it would be a good idea to install the highest version bars from all three over 10.2.1.2764? I actually did it already but haven't noticed anything better nor worse as yet. I get a warm fuzzy feeling from knowing that my OS is stock and stable but these older bars in the "new" OS release which was built before the "old" one has me wondering whether or not I'm getting the best possible experience currently available.

So. Last night when I got home and connected to my wifi I didn't realize the OS was set to auto install. I cancelled it but each time I went in and out of wifi area it restarted. So I decided to cancel and backup before updating. After backup I started the update thru Link, which was showing it as ready. After updating everything seemed the same, all working as before. One exception, the OTA kept starting the update, even though it showed the proper OS, it's still there as waiting to update, I finally shutoff the auto update button. Any suggestions? Don't want to do another update OTA for no reason. Other than that I see no difference between the 2102 and this update.
