I'd rather the team work out the bugs than me. Then I wont have to ask stupid questions.

My bet is the 1st post of the thread when the next leak is dropped will have a ton of useful information on it. All the key issues will have work arounds or nice big warning signs. They are going to rock the next leak drop they just needed to get their organizational structure set up and running.

The team is like a leak it's got to settle in.

BBRY felt that that the hypnotic squares weren't intuitive enough??? You know what's not intuitive? Releasing the Z10 with zero marketing!!!

I just got back from watching Elysium and that movie has a lot of parallels to this thread. The BerryLeakers all live in the utopian world of secret leaks while the rest of us are back on dystopian Earth living like rats waiting for our leak fix.

Folks, get over it. The leaks will drop when they drop. In the meantime, get out of your basement and enjoy the outdoors a bit. Life's too short!

I also believe the "testing" period is useless, because yeah they find bugs (usually obvious ones like no voice calls...) but they can't really do anything about it (since changing anything in the OS requires blackberry signature). Berryleaks team doesn't write the OS nor change it they just test it like all of us do. Only thing is one of the members has a awesome source that's giving him the leaks. (again thanks for sharing)

They usually offer a simple solution and I do appreciate that. Usually the solution is use another radio or different bars from different operating systems but I mean like SCrid2000 said finding bugs is easier/better when many people test it instead of just a few and the same solutions have been used for soo many different leaked OSs now. Since there are very limited options to fix a bugged OS... change the radio, sideload a different android runtime, sideload different bars from different OSs....

I think a solution to this problem with people asking over and over and over is give them infractions for being stupid... sorry not to be insulting but that's honestly what it comes down to. Here in Arizona there a stupid motorist law if you drive yourself into a freakin flood because you refused to read warning signs yeah you get saved but also get a ticket for being stupid.

I personally just dislike how the leaks are "governed" now this doesn't feel like a community anymore if your flashing your phone with different things stupid people should break their phone its their fault. Don't get me wrong by any of this I do appreciate the leaks you guys this is just my opinion.

Again this is all my opinion i don't want to start another lawguyman argument with any berry leaks members. If your opinion is different that is OK and you keep doing what you do just having a constructive argument.
Quit your ******** over a leak they have no obligation to give to ANY of us. Just sit down and be thankful they do this at all. FFS please don't ruin this for the rest of us who realize what they do for us. We aren't paying them to do this.

So are you like the commander and chief of the BL? or is your source the C&C?
BerryLeaks was co-founded by 3 people. Myself, Wu-wei, Wigley. But I guess in a way I am sort of in charge of the group when it comes to the forums, as I am the moderator here. And while they are no different than any other forum member, because we've made these team, some people expect them to be of higher standards.

This is a false standard. They are held to the normal code of conduct like everyone else. If one of them are to get in trouble, I hear about it from the Mod team, in which turn, I handle it with the member. I also don't treat them any differently. If they break a forum rule, I will infract them, or even ban if that is what comes from an infraction.

I told them not to post, as emotions were getting heated just in our BBM group alone. That was my pre warning, to hold off from any infractions. When it comes down to our BBM group, it's a free reign, as I personally, do not like to think of anyone person as in charge of the group. We all have our own unique sets of skills, from being very attentitive to detail, to an amazing Qt specialist in xsacha, to the C++ knowledge of DarcyTallGuy.

Everyone in the group has been hand picked, because they can be trusted, and they understand the process. Within in the group, 4 of us have sources, of which we get different information. Not all provide us with software, nor do we bug them for it. We do not pester our sources for the next OS. We wait for them to come to us. They technically put their jobs on the line, everytime they give us a OS.

This in turn is to where our mutual agreement comes into play with our sources. We agree to test run, and try to hash out as much as we can. Remember a OS can take 24-48hrs to settle. So bug testing can't really begin until after that point, so there are 2 days gone. After that we go to town on a OS, testing android, testing core, stress testing, and the works. If over the next 24-48hrs we find only minor bugs, we'll start the upload and release process. If there are major bugs (ie no phone calls), it can be delayed by up to another 72hrs or may not even see the light of day (like 783).

Hopefully, this provides yourself, and everyone else a better insight as to just what the team does, who we are, and what purpose we exist for.

Really not intuitive? So I click on something and then a thing spins or does whatever it does as I wait a moment and then the thing spinning thing is gone and what I was waiting for is now happening.

And I thought I was stupid.

If someone couldn't figure out what the spinning thing was maybe they shoulydn't have a smartphone and who let them have a vote?

BlackBerry please stop taking away the cool stuff. Your clever, creative, forward thinking people will get frustrated and give up being innovative with everything not just these seemingly unimportant things.

    Not needed to explain Kris.
If one does not understand by himself, then he should not be downloading leaks provided by your team.
Some people feel that it is their right to be provided with leaks and that you are supposed to work 24/7 for them.
It's a pity when people do not understand their boundaries and need to be reminded of or even explained for them.

My personal opinion. Noone has to agree or disagree.

At least we have process now. Win-win for us users who can run it earlier and to the "source" who can know what bugs needs to be squashed from that information (and that of the BL's BerryLeaks team if they decide to document it). I think this comes into "Open Secret" territory where it's literally a secret but everyone knows what that is.

You know, I was wondering why not let BBRY do this kinds of Beta's in the Beta Zone. Let's say every N weeks and then do some feedback program. It certainly helps them a lot due to 1. Usage by people in real-life scenarios and 2. Cost-Cutting (you don't need to hire too many testers when you have enough eyeballs to check it for you ).
