No qualification needed. That is spectacular battery life for the Z10!

The last leak of 10.3 put me off, it had so many great features but my androids apps stopped working for 1 and worse some of the new features didn't work, like the camera

This leak is much better than the old 10.3 leak. I downgraded from the last one but I will not be downgrading this time. Very impressed so far.

coming from 10.2.1 do I NEED to wipe and load or can I just install and have it upgrade what I currently have...was able to do that from the last 10.2.1 build and it's been working fine for me.
You can do it that way if you like. It will upgrade fine your way. Do a backup as normal since its destructive and all your information will lost

Lol this is such misleading screen shot. You dropped 22% in 1.5 hours. That's terrible. Even when I had my Z10, I was getting minimum 11-12 hours on heavy use. By math, you would get a maximum of 6.8 hours at that rate, not to mention battery life based on percentage is too unstable to be considered a reliable estimate. Hell, some days my phone drains faster on standby than on days where I'm using it a bunch.

It's much better than what I use to get on my Z10 before. Although it is not my daily driver but I tried to use it more today. Would like to see my screen shot again?

Lest I forget, you can now turn your phone face down on a flat surface when not in use to conserve battery.

I did my math wrong, see my new edit.
And even still, battery life can only change so much due to software optimization. I bet if you did a statistical analysis of the change, a total overhaul of a UI would only change battery life by a maximum of 10%. Most battery saving technology comes from hardware.

It's simply hassle free waking the phone up; all you do is raise from the surface and it turns on. It is a feature even my kids said "awesome".

What statistical analysis did you do? Care to explain (fortunately I understand Statistics) Finally, isn't 10% savings significant to you?

Lol I didn't do any. I said I bet if you did do one, the change would be a maximum of 10%. And 10% would be significant if it didn't account for "Standby" battery savings. In terms of device use, as in actually using your device and not just having it on, the battery change through software optimization is essentially negligible. Typical battery life comes down to 3 factors: screen, connectivity and size of the battery itself. Since none of those change through software optimizations, the whole "increased battery life" argument boils down to what the phone does with the screen off. So yes, you may see an "increase" in battery life in terms of actual runtime, but the usable runtime of your phone varies by essentially nothing.

PIN watermarks are really a non-factor. The only time I notice them is when the clock is in bedside mode.
