Since installing the leaked OS 10.3.0.296 on my Z10 late Saturday night I have noticed significant battery life improvement. Also I have been pleasantly surprised with the tweaks and new features. Heck even my better half and kids are impressed.

I'm very anxiously waiting for the official release of OS 10.3 because if this leaked OS 10.3.0.296 is an earlier build than what Michael Clewley has been teasing us with, then I can't even imagine what the gold OS 10.3 will have. IMHO BlackBerry will truly surprise us all, even including the sceptics and haters.

Are you guys liking what you are seeing so far in this leaked OS 10.3.0.296?

I'm gonna be a total wuss and bottle it, and wait for the official on my Z30. My last couple of Z10 leaks got a bit messy... Does look very promising tho'.

"Battery improvement" will simply overwhelm people :P

I'm hoping we get color theme choice, between green, red, blue, yellow..

    Updated runtime with performance increase!

And of course..the famous UI refresh

I do hope you're right, but I doubt they'd even notice.

It's interesting and different! It shows that BlackBerry is progressing and refining their UI!

It's only been 24 hours, but I'm sure I haven't " noticed significant battery life improvement.". I'll give it more time to settle - and I just installed the 441 Radio, so maybe it will improve.

Running it since yesterday. Like it a lot. No problems at all. Everything that I use (which doesn't necessarily mean everything), is working perfectly.

That doesn't look like you have done much. I really doubt that the battery life is improved.

I haven't tried it since I'm running a Z30 bit I'm surprised by not seeing any complaints about it at such a low build. Usually the first stable build is over 1xxx.

I will be making a hybrid with the sdk tonight

Been using the leak on my P'9982 and it's eating my battery like a hungry beaver. Did you guys do a restore or keep it clean and away from restore? Should I reload again?

Well I think so, compared to what I use to get from the phone regardless on what I did. Tell you what, why don't you install the leak and after a few days observation then we can compare notes.
Btw, I use Z30 as my daily driver.

As a general rule, although I back up my phone before installing leaks, I always restore my phone the "old fashion way" by painstakingly manually restoring almost everything on my phones. Knock on wood, I have found that since I started using this method I have never had any major issues.

Would you say this leak is good enough to use as a daily driver?

It is safe to say that I'm a busy guy but I find time to follow this process all the time. I often complete the process over different intervals. It's worth the hassle IMO because I eliminate chances of "cross-contaminations".

Hmm, some of the new hub features look very interesting - though thinking of it, when I accidentally delete an email I may think about it differently.

The new icons are hideous - nothing changes that for me.

In places the new OS looks less refined (e.g. Contacts) in how the menu works.
The new calendar appears worse than the old one - which was a more pleasing sight and had a great idea with the increasing typeset size.

The performance and fluidity seems great though.

    Anything else, time will tell:
I suppose it is really a matter of progress under the hood - the rest is mainly cosmetic, though not always for the better.

I installed 10.3.0.296 nearly 2 days ago and I was running 10.3.0.140 previously and report that in my case my battery life has nearly doubled. Bear in mind that 10.3.0.140 was a horrific battery muncher. Camera works (no more 'unable to start 'error. Face down, lift to wake works well. Equalizer in Music Player. Like the new delete / undo feature in the hub.

This is obviously still beta but I am quite comfortable using this as my daily driver. Expecting a minimum 10-12 hours battery on moderate use.
