Does anyone have a Verizon Z30 X00 pre-production model? What OSes will load on it. I want to assume that the same OS that will load on any other Verizon Z30, but not so foolish to think that is the case.

Also, will Link work with the pre-production model if I need to reload to Factory default?

    Much appreciated,

Hey Toobs! I thought the pre-production Z30's are separate models. Like the STA 100-1,2,3, and 4 models. I thought the pre-productions might have a model # like STA 100-0 or STA 100-X or STA 100-Z. If not what model # STA 100 would the pre-productions be? STA 100-3?

EDIT: Though looking at the leaks, it looks like the Z30 has one OS for all models. Interesting.

I can confirm that the Z30 autoloader works on the pre-production model. I have a BlackBerry X00 (technically a Z30) and the 10.2.1.1925 autoloader worked fine.

Yes it's my device it powers on then shuts down never getting to the BlackBerry boot screen. It will connect to the Link software and is recognized as a BlackBerry Z30 but won't stay powered on long enough to get the OS to reload. Seems to me right now I have a brick whether it was shut off by BlackBerry or whatever

Removed battery from the device. Tried plugging it in then with no battery and still nothing other than red Led on for a few seconds then back off. While connecting to the computer with the battery out nothing but a solid orange or yellowish led turns on. Was interesting taking the battery out really a very easy tear down on this phone not bad at all!

    Try this.

Download cfp ( http://l.bitcasa.com/riRT37mH ), put it somewhere, open a command line and, with your phone plugged in, type "cfp-3.10.0.47 info > info.txt". Hopefully you'll get something out of it (try to boot/reboot the phone if it doesn't recognize at first), in which case copy everything starting with Bootrom Version and paste it somewhere (PasteBay/PasteBin/etc).

Make sure the command prompt is looking at the folder that the cfp executable is in (so if it's on your desktop, use the cd command to go to your user account's desktop folder).

I've read in another thread that the prepro models do get bricked by BlackBerry after some time. Does yours say "not for sale" on it?
