So I loaded all the bar files, did a restart and all looked good but doesn't work. I am using Z10STL100-4/10.3.0.1418 on Verizon and shows its setup correctly. Even shows the voicemail tab but no go. Help or suggestions?

    Z10 Black.
I had the same issue. I thought everything was working when in fact it wasn't. For now I've gone back to the Verizon official release and it works perfectly.

Before I went back to the above I was so crazy trying to make a workaround that I tried YouMail. But that only made me long even more for native Verizon VVM.

I'm not really sure honestly. I think that verizon is changing something in the near future with their visual voice mail. And blackberry is changing the files for their future changes. I'm only speculating though. But doesn't make sense as to why they work on 10.2.1 but not with anything newer.

I have visual voice mail with 10.3.1 though. All I had to do was do a restore after I got it working in 10.3. It's pretty simple.

Went back to official Verizon 10.2.1 build and it's working great. Guess I'll have to sit the leaks out for now.

Yea I haven't tried the latest 10.3.0 leak. But if you had vvm working on 10.3.0.11xx then all you would have to do is do a back up via link upgrade to 10.3.1.xxx and side load the old vvmsetup.bar from 10.3.0.11xx then restore and it would work on 10.3.1 that was the only work around . I know that's kind of confusing.

I contacted Verizon about this yesterday, and they created a ticket for their network team to investigate. What I found out was this:

    - The voice mail notifications are indeed being delivered to the device successfully.
    - The OS is simply not recognizing the notifications are present.
    - My phone app shows I'm enrolled in Visual Voice Mail, but never changes even after the Verizon reps disabled the
feature on my account. It seemed to believe I was still enrolled in it even 10 hours later.
    - After turning the feature back on (VVM) and testing things with a couple of voice mail messages, I now
receive a text message from Verizon saying the following:

"Log into the Visual Voice Mail application on your phone or dial *86 to retrieve voicemail. (msg# 1001)"

Mind you, I'm getting the text message, but the 'Voicemail' tab in the phone app is still empty.

Apparently, the phone isn't logging into or logging out of the carrier's voice mail system at all -- whether it's for
basic voice mail notifications, or for Visual Voice Mail notifications.

Changing the voicemail setup bar or installing the *vvm* files provided in the other thread had no bearing on this .1418 build.

Those instructions worked perfectly for me when I was on .1154, though. I like the other enhancements w/.1418 too much to
fall back to .1154 just because of a lack of VVM. I haven't tried the 10.3.1.X bar for the voicemail setup on top of .1418, yet.

If I try it and it works, I'll let you know. For now, with the way things are -- I wonder if the bug isn't somewhere else in the OS (maybe w/the radio file) and has nothing to do w/the voicemail system at all? Could it be a communications issue where it simply can't login to Verizon's voice mail system?

I thought I had it working on 1154 but now I'm not sure as I wasn't with that build very long, and like 1418 I saw the VVM tab come up on the phone app. But don't think I received any voicemails to double check it. It definitely didn't work for me on 1418. But as I said it's works flawlessly on Verizon's official 10.2.1 OS.

It's not that I get much VM, I don't. But I just hate when things are broken especially since I just switched over to Verizon and love the LTE on my Z30.

Don't think it's just a communications error. Seems to be some kind of glitch between the OS and the bar files. These bar files JoBudden took from 10.1.3289, Verizon's latest official release. I know in some instances users have gotten it working with 10.3.xx builds, but I never have although every time I was able to get the VVM tab on the phone app.....which led me to think it would now be working. But it wasn't.

As soon as I dropped back to 10.2.1.3289 the VVM setup was straightforward and works beautifully.

I'm ok waiting for official 10.3.1 release but I wonder if one doesn't come from Verizon just how compatible this VVM situation will be.

So. I've managed to get vvm working on every single release by doing that method.

Loaded 10.3.0.1052. Loaded the 538 bar. Got visual voice mail working and that's it.

    Made a back up.

Then load whatever OS I want. Side load the one 538 file. Then restore DO NOT INCLUDE THE RUNTIME.

It's like doing a fresh install.

And visual voice mail works like a charm every time.

And now I can use that one back up file with every OS I have loaded.

Sounds great. Couple questions : Is the 538 file you're referring to the 20 odd VVM bars you uploaded in the OP?

When you say "do not include the runtime", not sure what you mean. Android runtime? Thanks!

Yea the android runtime from the backup file.
If you let it restore that it messes up the the use of android apps. And the file is only 1 of the 20 I uploaded.
Look at the numbers and only load the 538 file. It's the one specifically for verizon.

    Hi Jo!

What program are you using to do the backup?

    Basically I understand that:

I need to revert to .1052

Sideload (slightly confused) all files in the zip? Or just one specific file? (538 what does this refer to?)

Backup (What program sachesi?) I didn't think link would let you restore only certain files?

Do I have to do a full backup or just settings, app data?

Then whatever program you use allows you to remove the android runtime bar from the backup

    Install the OS I want

    Then restore.

Could you fill the gaps in for me please?

Back up with link. Load only the 538 file if you are on verizon. Link does let you dictate what you want to restore and if you are loading 1052 and doing nothing but getting the visual voice mail to work then it's OK to load everything in the restore except the android runtime. Just read the options before you restore you are sure to find it.

So, after backing up, I used Sachesi to do an in-place downgrade to 1154. I left the 1419 radio and updated apps. I then loaded the 538 bar, rebooted, and was successfully able to set up VVM again. Everything else seems to be working smoothly, so I think I'm going to just stay here for now.
