Anyone been able to setup up VVM on a Z10 running 10.3.2.840? I get a message stating "Sorry, we ran into a problem with your order. Please contact customer service". I called Verizon yesterday morning and they added the Basic VVM to my account.

Can't see why a Z10 would be any different. Follow the steps I wrote a few posts up and you should be good to go.

How did you upgrade to 10.3.2.840?

If you used an autoloader or blitz created in the other threads those probably didn't use the Verizon core os. You might be missing some files. Try loading the 10.3.2.840 VVM bar I posted in this thread yesterday, if it doesn't work, go download the 8960 Verizon core os and load it through sachesi it will be non destructive and will be fine.

Depends on how you upgraded, and if you messed with the '538' bar file

I installed 10.3.2.840 by creating my own autoloader from the qc8960 Verizon desktop package. When I looked at my installed files, my Z10 had sys.data.ecid.vmm version 10.3.2.3. Just for kicks I downloaded the above referenced 538 bar file and loaded it on my system. Still shows the same version and I still get the same results stating there was a problem with my order.

    Any other suggestions?

Try using the autoloader from the Live Links & Autoloaders thread. Make sure to use the Verizon app and check to make sure free VVM is selected and confirmed in your account services. I can't see why that wouldn't work for you.

One thing about using the vzw app? There are actually two versions of free vvm offered. Any ideas on which one to use?

As free and compatible VVM is now being made available with this Verizon release, this might be a good time to say a big thank you once again to JoBudden for coming up with the VVM workaround many of us have used this past year since 10.3.1 was released.

The tenacity of CB members to find ways around issues and share them with the rest of the community is just one of the reasons this forum is the best. Of all the apps on my phone none gets more use than the CB10 app.

Thanks again Jo and all the others that have made this thread so helpful!!

I only see one version of free VVM using the app. Free VM & VVM and then paid VM & VVM. Four options to choose from is all I can see.

I've been successful in setting up VVM on my Verizon Z10 on 10.3.2.840. Upgraded non destructively via sachesi. Dont know what I can tell you other than what has already been suggested. Finally, it works.

It was my pleasure. I'm glad to have been able to contribute. Even if it was something simple for a limited amount of people. Haha

OK so I finally installed Z30STA100-3/10.3.2.840 and although the set up went fine. This is what I got. When I go to Verizon app to select free vvm there isn't an option. Only 2 different paid versions lol..

So you're saying when you login to your account using the Verizon mobile app and go under your services, then Voicemail, you only see two paid options?

Now that they have enabled the new version of vvm on their end (Verizon), I don't think so will see an issue with any more updates for versions to come. The only issue was the bar file pointed to the wrong verification URL.

I called Verizon again this morning and the rep updated authorization of my account to access basic VVM. A rep said they did this last Friday, but I could not confirm since my account is on a business account and I am not an administrator. Setup completed after talking with the rep, but the app never appeared (said it would be complete after five minutes). I ended up using my autoloader to re-load the OS and now everything works well. Love having VVM on my Z10 now!

So I forgot to make a backup first and marched full steam ahead. Luckily, it worked, so I didn't pay any price for this mistake.

I first switched over to the Basic VVM in the Verizon app, then I loaded the 840 538 VVM bar above from mrjmc99 over 2204 OS, rebooted, and was then able to successfully configure Basic VVM. Hooray!
