I installed leaked 10.1.1762 on a TMobile Z10. Assuming that TMobile puts official 10.1 out with a build number lower than .1762 - will I be able to upgrade?

If not, how to return to 10.0? BBLink will not allow install and I cannot find an unambiguous answer in the forums?

I was wondering the same thing and never got a real answer on here or was able to use BBlink to swap back to previous versions. I have Verizon.

    You have two options:
1.) Go to BlackBerry's website, and download your respective carrier's OS. Then, plug your Z10 in and install it the same way you installed the 10.1.0.1762 link.
2.) Plug your Z10 in, run the 10.1.0.1762 (or any other) leak, and, when the LED on your phone turns red, unplug it. This will "brick" your phone, and you should be able to install 10.0 via BlackBerry Link.
I've never tried the second option, and I would recommend the first. Good luck!

    1) This option doesn't exist for BB10 phones

    2) Unplug while autoloader is installing the OS and the LED is GREEN to soft brick your phone, then connect to Link.

Since official 10.1 is 1720 in the short answer no you won't see a update for it on 1762/56

I don't think we have to worry about the US carriers putting out an official build lower than 1762. My theory (and hope) is that the delay with them is that they can not release 10.1 without a fix for all the random reboots going on, and 1762 obviously doesn't have that fix. Hopefully Blackberry has delivered a build to them that does, and they are in the process of testing it.

Yes, I agree that 1762 doesn't fix reboots but it has some nice improvements. I really don't think anyone outside of TMobile knows what the build number will be so I tend to ignore premature info.

I did find a nice way that worked perfectly for me to go back to 10.0.0.85 as follows (it's from the BB support forum)

How to Reload your Blackberry10 OS[ Edited ] Options

For users having issues with your BlackBerry10 device and you think you need to reload the operating system to the device, I've made these notes to guide you through the process:

Upgrading your OS: If you are attempting to UPGRADE your BlackBerry10 operating system, first remove the SIM card from the device, and in your Settings > Location Services, disable Location Services, then proceed with the steps below.
Using the Link software on your PC, click on the "Reload Device Software" tab at the top of Link screen. Follow the directions there to complete the reload. Do not disconnect your device during the process until complete.
Alternatively, if the above process does not work for you or your BlackBerry10 device does not show as connected, follow the steps below.

This requires you have a a Windows PC computer.

Disconnect your BlackBerry10 device from the PC.
On the PC, turn off your BlackBerry Link and turn off the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Open your Internet Explorer (Firefox may also work) and navigate to BlackBerry Software Updates, Down the webpage , select the "Check for Updates" link.
Connect your BlackBerry10 device with which you're having problems.
On the BlackBerry10 device , press and hold the top edge power button for 10 seconds until it is complete off, and then turn on by pressingthe the power button again.
You will see a prompt appear and the BlackBerry smartphone will appear in a dropdown list just after the LED turns red. You should see "USB: UNKNOWN or USB: BlackBerry (PIN)
When you see that prompt, as soon as possible, click on the OK Button.
After these previous steps have been completed, there will be displayed a message: "Checking for BlackBerry Device Software updates. The BlackBerry 10 smartphone will now power itself off after 120 seconds."
After that period, the BlackBerry10's LED is supposed to be lit green.
Wait until after you see the LED turn green. Then, there will appear a prompt to install BlackBerry Device Software.
Follow the remaining prompts to complete the install of the operating system.
When the installation has completed the BlackBerry will commence the boot process.

    Good luck
