    Hello, All!

    Since upgrading to 10.2.1.1925, I've not been able to use the Voice Control Services features on my Z30 (STA100-3).

    The error I get is this:

    "Unable to connect to the Voice Control server."

    Does anyone know if downgrading to a different version of the Voice Control services BAR will resolve this? Is anyone else having this issue?

    Have you tried simply rebooting? I have 0 issues with voice control like you're describing, the only time I've seen that error is when the connection was bad and I'm on the same device and OS as you.

    I just tried a while ago and it was working.

    Did you try rebooting?

    1. Hold the top buttom;
    2. Ignore the screen - do not tap reboot;
    3. Only let go when you see the BB loading scren.

    Hi!

    I've rebooted many times, actually, and it's never made a difference. This is the first time I've ever run into this with any leak, so I'm thinking it may have something to do with a configuration issue on my Z30, but I have no idea how to diagnose/debug it?

    Would an e-screen parameter update fix this? I don't see any voice control server settings anywhere else, so I thought I could try falling back to a. 1259 BAR file(s), or an e-screen update?

    The only problem I saw on my Z10 was that the first time I tried to use it over my BT headset it required me to set it up. Could it be an issue with your wifi or provider connection?

    Thanks, but I don't think so?

    I've installed at least 10+ leaks over the years and have never had this kind of an issue, and my provider (Verizon) and my wifi config (home router w/Charter Cable as ISP) have been the same throughout all of those upgrades.

    I don't know what the voice control server address is, so I could not begin to troubleshoot this with either of my providers.

    Can you give a few examples which include error messages you may have received?

    I recently resolved the issues I was having by reinstalling .1925 on my Z30 (STA100-3) and updating the radio to .1926.

    I doubt the radio install had anything to do w/my resolution, but it's been a winner ever since!

    I have the same issue. I changed Voice Control to Voice Dialing Only and that works with feedback but still nothing when I choose Full Voice Recognition.

    Thanks. That fixed it somewhat. Atleast now with my Bluetooth my phone can stay in the holster and make calls.

    Same here no feedback. I originally was searching the forums regarding an issue with my new Plantronic Voyager Legend Blue tooth headset (which I just updated). The voice control prompts were so low I could barely hear them with the volume cranked up on both devices.

    Upon finding this thread I disconnected the bluetooth device and found that I am also having the same problem on Verizon's / BlackBerry 's update. It will go through the prompts, it just won't talk you through them.

    However, the prevailing work around of going into the voice control settings and changing the prompt to phone call only speech recognition does seem to help with the bluetooth issue regarding voice dialing for phone calls. However, it would be nice if there was a solution where I could have the voice control work flawlessly with or without bluetooth connection. Nevertheless I am happy about the update and everything else has been working great.

    I too find that the voice control no longer works as it used to. If you switch to voice dialing you get the old voice person who walks you through dialing a call, however I am unable to do other actions like sending a text, email, or Web search. If you leave it on full voice recognition, there is no longer a voice walking you thru the steps. I hope there is a fix to this soon.

    I just discovered I'm suffering from this on verizon. 1925. I was trying to get my new sena smh10r setup and I'm experiencing the exact same issues as you guys, low sound in blue tooth and she doesn't guide me through regardless of settings using the phone. Boo!

    Having 'voice control' issues as well after update on my Z10. Can barely hear assistant when on bluetooth headset and cannot hear at all when off of bluetooth. Tried a few fixes but nothing has worked yet. As mentioned earlier, may have to wait for an update if nothing works to fix it.

    I've had .1925 leak loaded for a couple of weeks and was using Voice Control without any issue as late as Monday evening without any problems. Didn't try it yesterday...had no reason to...but today I tried it and have no voice feedback.

    I haven't updated anything or changed anything on the phone, so it looks like a Server issue.
