    ...It certainly seems so.
Has anything been officially released pertaining to this?
When is the last time we have had a complete leak with all files and most all current device models? Enough to make a full autoloader, for example. It has been since before Thanksgiving (US) I believe. Although I get it is a violation of company policy (I would assume, depending on who is doing the leaking- if it's carriers I'm not so sure- I don't know enough about that.) And I guess he believes that it is bad for Blackberry image to have less then polished non- official O.S.'s running around on thousands of devices.
But for us, it still su**ks

Can't be that bothered as .1154 leaked and was then the Classic Launch OS !!!

I have always believed that it was a deliberate leak to get widespread Beta Testing

I would assume new branches should be kept under control and cover. But 10.3.1 has already been released, no new features are going to be added.
If they let a few leaks out then it won't hurt their wow factor because the OS is already out and the competitors can go to the store and buy one to examine it thoroughly.

Why doesn't BlackBerry just extend the existing beta program to the OS level?? They've got a lot of willing customers in that program. That way they could standardize the deployment and presumably have ways to monitor usage of the beta releases out there and collect bugs from the devices. It seems like it would smooth out the whole process and eliminate a lot of energy building dozens of autoloader, non-destructive releases, etc. The community could spend more time on testing and bubbling up issues. In return, the community could get a more regular set of releases to go to. You've got a lot of passionate testers out here.

    Just a thought, BlackBerry.

You own a company renowned for security, and can't control internal property. Yes he wants the leaks stopped, for reason beyond that, but that is the main one.

As far as how much leak counts as leak, we had one about a week ago. If it was for the 8100, it would still count, would it not?

Personally, I'd prefer we get quality OS officially on a timely basis. The original BB10 phones have suffered long enough, missing many of the features legacy BlackBerry phones had, and the new phones were released with very weak versions of what's to come. The OS situation is a total clusterfriggle that desperately needs resolved.

You have it backwards. Last week's 10.3.1.1949 was the only true leak in about 6 months since 10.3.0.296. The rest were just made available on BlackBerry's servers.

True, but all summarily shutdown, so still leaks. One IIRC was a carrier.

Is it active?? If it were truly interactive, I could envision a program that would have point releases made available every 2-3 weeks...get pretty immediate feedback(with how passionate this community is) and incorporate the data back into the product. In fact, they could send messages out to the community and ask them to focus on areas they need to be stressed...app notification, hub integration, whatever. It would rapidly increase product code quality, while minimizing their own testing resources, thus saving internal $$ for other areas. I've always been a big believer of the best testers are the ones that use the products and all their features every day.

More screwups than real leaks on BlackBerry's part.

    Anyway, for a brief rundown:
10.3.1.632 and 10.3.1.995-1016 were released by accident (BlackBerry and AT&T, respectively).
10.3.1.800, 10.3.1.821 and 10.3.1.938 (plus hundreds of other OSs) were on the beta servers.
10.3.1.1133 was leaked, although nobody cared since 115x was out already.
10.3.1.1151 was on servers for like five minutes.
10.3.1.1154 is on the public server right now, since it's the Classic launch OS.
10.3.1.1949 is a good old leak.

So far that's quite a few own goals for BlackBerry.

@OP. This is not be the first time Chen has pulled out the "managerial wrench" and the OS leaks dried up. Time will tell us how long it will last........this time.

Leaks are the reason I'm still on BlackBerry. If it wasn't for leaks, it would be months upon months to have a working fully featured OS for phones such as the Z30 or a camera that actucally focuses right on the Passport. 10.3 brings needed features to the Z30, Z10 etc and it was leaked in the summer. It's now January in the next year and 10.3 still hasn't been rolled out and likely won't be for a couple of months from now. Seeing as the majority of Passports and Classics are bought from Amazon and Shop BlackBerry, it's inexcusable to allow carriers to push the updates because the carriers shouldn't control a product they likely don't even sell. BlackBerry should be pushing software updates themselves and every 2-3 months.
