I'm thinking of installing the latest 10.2 leak. My question is, if I wanna revert to my carrier's official OS do I need an autoloader of the particular OS or can I use Link to restore my carrier's official OS?

If you brick your phone, you can roll back using link.

Link can download the carriers OS image I am pretty sure. If you choose "Restore to Factory" or whatever it should check for available OS downloads and ask which to install. Something like that. I know it can be done. Same as the PlayBook.

To revert, just download the 10.1 autoloader from https://developer.blackberry.com/bla...toloaders.html
Then just update it to the latest carrier os.

To have a crippled developer OS. Great advice! (NOT!)

Just use BlackBerry Link desktop software to revert to official firmware.
With that said, be careful. My T-Mobile still has no update and offers only 10.0.9.xxx builds.

T-Mobile is coming out with a new 10.1 today for the Z10, which will include WiFi Calling. I thought they released 10.1 before, but ever since I loaded the leak of 10.2, I haven't paid much attention to 10.1 news.

Don't think, Do! You won't go back to 10.1.

I installed 10.2 and ran it for a couple weeks, but went back to the att 10.1 recently. There were just a couple things that didn't work for me so i figured I would go with the official for another couple months until 10.2 comes out officially. The android apps I use work well with the official version so I'm loving my z with 10.1.

I will say though that I could never get link to reload the official os. I went to BlackBerry website and installed latest att 10.1 from there and everything went well. Very easy to do. If you want to try 10.2, there is plenty of info on the boards to guide you through.

Only reason I'd roll back is when my carrier releases 10.2 officially. Until then I'll be loading 10.2. What's the latest version?
