No wifi calling icon on any 10.2 leak unless loaded the 810 radio file. I'm not talking about the app. Talking about wifi calling working at all.

All I am doing is responding to the question asked, perhaps it is becuse the phone is branded t-Mobile I don,t know.--- I do know after I have installed the 10.2 leaks, the phone also installs the carrier specific software- in my case TMobile, when this happens it does tell me that wi-fi calling is enabled. There is no obvious control for it on my phone (like it was on my 9860. I have stated what has been and is working for me! Just trying to help!
I wonder why yours works - great for you though. I have a Z10-STL-100/3 and I am on T-mobile with a T-mobile SIM. The official latest 10.1 OS and previous 10.1 leaks or 10.2 with 811 Radio worked fine for WIFI calling with or without the APP. The further along the 10.2 came though the worse the calling quality was with 811 Radio. The 10.2.1725 though with it's original Radio didn't work at all for me in regards to WIFI calling so I went back to official OS.

I don't have a icon, once I activate wi-fi calling it works, as described in my original post. From my experience and what I have been reading, seems like most are loading the earlier radio file in order for the app to work. From my experience, I installed the leak from the exe file, t-mobile carrier specific stuff also installed automatically with the notice wife calling is in play. I do not have any icon at all. You must have wife calling activated on your account, it is free, but it must be activated or turned on by tmobile.
This is different from the UMA WI fi calling. At least that is from what I understand. I can't be the only one this has been successful for without having to play with the radio files! It's been just install and activate.

Jmac, until you post screen shots of the Wifi calling icon up top with the radio and is version up, I'm skeptical. Although unless I see it in person, I'd still be skeptical.

Thats Up to You! Mine works! You still dont get it! It does not have a WI-FI Icon, just leave the radio on, turn on wi-fi calling and the radio signal level goes away and the wi fi indicator! all I see. thats it.
I am done! I am hear to share what is working for me. Not prove it, I cant be the only one.

Now turn off your Mobile Network connection in Settings and make a call. That's Wi-Fi Calling.

Just thinking- everybody has been focusing on installing the wi-fi app., Maybe the key is having the t-mobile sim card installed and wi-fi calling enabled on the account would make a difference. I never had the app installed under the 10.2 leaks. I have just always loaded the leaks, and when the carrier specific software loads after that it loads the wi-fi calling stuff automatically. However it does NOT load nor does it require the wi-fi calling app.
There are multiple components involved with T-Mobile's WIFI Calling solution. The WIFI Calling control app that is listed in BB World just gives you additional features that allow you to disable/enable wifi calling for specific scenarios. I'm on a leaked 10.1 version, and I have yet to install the control app from BB World.

jmac1801, is there a status icon next to your wifi signal icon that shows a phone below a wifi signal? Like this one on my 10.1 leak?

No there isn't, what you describe is what Iused to see on my blackberry 9860 when wi-fi calling was enabled. There is no obvious indication. When I go to my best bar where receive no reception, turn on wi-fi, I still do not have any obvious sign like on OS7, I can however start to make and receive calls and texts!. If I turn wi-fi OFF all that stops. Until I turn wi-fi back on.

You are incorrect. There is a specific icon that will indicate when WiFi Calling is available and in use. You can see it in the screenshots for T-Mobile's app in BlackBerry World:

T-Mobile, Z10, STL100-3, Installed 10.2.0.1725_STL-234 leak with radio file that came with it, no problems with wi-fi calling at all, other than not having the wi-fi calling app. In my experience the app is not mandatory.
Prior to that I installed the leaked (10.2.0.1371_STL234_full) with the radio file that came with it. Never had to play with the radio files at all. Never experienced any problems with wi-fi calling not working. There is no indication on the screen that it is working, other than the wi-fi indicator being on and band speed (lte, 4g, 3g etc) indicator being off. There is a bar I go to that the T-Mobile signal just doesn't come through, when I turn on wi-fi, get their password, Bamm! No worries, no problem placing or receiving a call, placing or receiving text, no problem on the web. Hope this helps!
Neither .1725 and .1371 radios worked for me on the latest leak. Will stay on .810 radio for now. I am however getting a weird glitch....
When I send txts I receive a "General Problems" notification. It appears my texts arent sent but they actually are.... Also my MMS is limited. I think i will live without wifi calling for now. I'm back to the latest leak and radio. Good night people lets drink to life and enjoy the party.

Or you could switch your account to Solavei. It uses the T-Mobile network but gives you unlimited calling, data, and text for $49/mo or less. OK, if you don't have any bars, I guess WiFi could be useful

    check out Solavei

Still waiting for T-Mobile to add the wifi calling components to 10.2, and I'm starting to wonder if they are ever going to even support 10.2 on T-Mobile. Did the change from 10.1 to 10.2 really require a complete overhaul?

I picked up a T-Mobile Q10 the other day, which came with 10.1.0.4780 on it. Hoping to upgrade to a 10.2 for the better notifications, however I need wi-fi calling. Do you guys think that T-mobile will release an official 10.2 with wi-fi calling?

I see people above commenting about wi-fi calling working on 10.2 leaks even without the app installed, but that seems to be contradicted by others saying that it doesn't work. So I am confused. Given my limited experience and desire to play around with side-loading, possible downgrades after, etc., it would be nice to have a sure-fire wife to get 10.2 with wifi calling.

Welcome to the Q10 - it's a great phone. I'm certain that TMO will release WiFi calling with their version of 10.2 which is "promised" for release this winter! Having said that, I have tried many versions/combinations of 10.2 with various radios - not one works to get WiFi calling on a Q10 (due, I think, to lack of a Q10 compatible 10.2 radio. So we just have to be a little more patient) others have tried also with the same negative results.

Having said that, I have poor reception at home (maybe one bar) yet I can still make calls/texts with no issue when just using either 10.2.0.1083 or the newer 10.2.1.1055 that I just loaded this morning - either may work for you (and you can still access the internet over WiFi.

Thanks Docfreed, The reason I need the wifi calling is for international travel... so I will have 0 bars from t-mobile . I know they have cheap international calls now when roaming, but free via. Wi-fi is nicer!

I take it there are no compatible radio files for the Z30 STA100-5 that would enable wi-fi calling with any version of T-mobile's wi-fi calling app right?
