Sorry to ask this, regards to WhatsApp History, how do you restore it after you wipe your device? During upgrade etc.
The WhatsApp history is saved on the device. You need to either do a full device back up and restore or you can save the file on your computer and paste it back to the same location after you reinstall. WhatsApp will ask you if you want to restore the old messages.
The message history is stored in
    Device Misc / WhatsApp/backup

After I restored my backups, I deleted the WhatsApp app. Then reinstalled it. (Only did this to preemptively try to avoid any WhatsApp Hub Issues.)
After reinstalling WhatsApp, on the first open during setup it offered to restore my history.
Edit: Just read the previous post to mine. I have no idea if it was restoring from data on the device or from WhatsApp servers, so maybe that wouldn't work for you.

Or you can just press and hold any app icon then touch and move any app icon onto another to create a new folder with multiple apps in it and then it gives you the option to name them whatever you wish.

Yeah, think that was mentioned early on in this thread, but nice that it is back.

The message history is stored on your device. It must have returned when you restored your backup.

has anyone tested this leak on a Z10 STL-4
I think it has been mentioned a few times in this thread that it is confirmed to be working well on Z10 STL-4 by some Verizon users anyway.

Hold shift and press the "Send" button.
For SMS it's just enter or return.

Over WiFi, yes. Seems to work just fine over normal cellular radio.
This is a limitation of WiFi calling - no MMS.

I think we'll need more information. Are you trying to find a link, or see the OS version on your device? Or...

Link for download or for the thread for other versions of the Z10 or Q10 are in the initial post.

I haven't read of many gmail issues here, but I'm having a hell of a time getting my gmail working on this OS.
Had no trouble with the autoloader and restore went fine.

I have 3 accounts on my domain using the old free Google Apps.

After the initial restore, I deleted them all because I wanted to set them up with the new Forever option.
Was able to go through the first part of the new Gmail setup where you log-in to gmail, then give App Permissions.
But after a long period of time with the waiting circle, I got a long message saying the device couldn't contact the google servers for either e-mail, calendar, or contacts.

So, I restored my settings again, and just tried to update the passwords, but still:
Get through the new gmail login page fine
    Give the App Permissions
Saving and verifying your settings ...
THEN The server imap.gmail.com for your account is not responding. Please check your settings and try again.

Not sure if it's simply a wierd google server thing going on (I've been trying this at various points since last night) or something else with the new method of gmail setup.

Edit (in case anyone comes across this with the same problem): Turning off WiFi allowed me to get the accounts setup.

how did you have the foresight to screenshot the old folders? to go to sleep and wake up to discover they had been automatically renamed and been so lucky you screenshot them the night before!

also I have two folders and they weren't renamed overnight, or ever.
It's really not that complicated. At 1133 I took a screen shot of how they looked after swapping over. Then I fixed them, and took a second screen shot so you all could see how I have them currently arranged for comparison purposes.

Here's hoping that this puts an end to the conspiracy theories.?

Sorry!! I'm trying to turn off the keyboard sound, but it seems that after I upgrade to Z10 - STL100-2, version 10.1.0.4537, the command is missing or I'm just getting too stupid to find it in the new version

Have you tried Instago? It's a pretty good native option. You can't upload pics but that's b/c Instagram won't allow it.

Sorry if this has already been answered but when I receive a call it does not resolve the name of the contact. After the call has finished the call history shows the correct contact name.

To upgrade I ran the autoloader to upgraded the software then security wiped the device and finally did a full restore.

I'm not sure about that because a third party windows app for In stag ramblings allows upload.

It allows it, yes, but it uses a workaround to circumvent the limitations of Instagram's API's, so if Instagram wanted to they could shut them down. However, chances are Instagram doesn't mind, because the app is pretty well-known by now and they've done nothing.

Latest version of link and did a full backup prior to installing. Going to try to restore again to see how that goes.
Tried to restore again but no luck. If anyone has a recommendation of a restore sequence that can bring them back it would be greatly appreciated.

I installed it yesterday and noticed two things so far:

    1. My past sms log was not restored (either to my Z10 or my Q10)
    2. No VVM or regular VM notifications.

I'm on Fido, so if I read it right, Rogers (and hence, Fido) is having this issue.
