Watch out...on the AT&T Z10 STL100-3, when signing in to BlackBerry World on your phone, it is counting on you having a physical keyboard. I had all kinds of run around headache trying to "log in on my device". I finally went through the internet sight on my phone, and it brought up the keyboard and allowed me to sign in. *Phew!
But, I thought u could pull out the keyboard from anywhere by swiping up from the bezel with 2 fingers. Did u try that?

Doesn't the autoloader automatically wipes the Z10? Why the need for security wipe?
The autoloader does a low level wipe (e.g. the device password will be still the same after an autoloader wipe). Lots of other stuff in the background is not deleted. So to really get rid of the old OS and settings do a security wipe after installing a newer os.

It's easy. Make a backup first with BlackBerry link then extract the autoloader from the archive you downloaded and run the exe. After the phone restarts, reload the backup. That's it.

Are u for real? Its that easy?...and people are complaining about installing leaks? This is even easier than installing a leak on bb legacy devices. where I have to search for vendor e.t.c

I'm not happy with the new Gmail setup. If you don't accept the permissions, the email does not set up and you can't delete it. If I wanted to give Google access to my contacts and calendar I would get a DROID. Now I'm stuck with "Gmail is not responding" in the hub. I'll probably have to roll back to the last leak. Google is evil!
It is not giving Google access to your device contacts, but giving the device access to your Google contacts just in case you want to keep it synced.
On the screen following the login, you can choose to keep the sync on or off.

The only problem is that the link is a bit buggy with the restore and you might have to spend your time with work arounds to ensure that the backup can be restored.

That+ users messing around with installing leaked higher version alpha/dev versions, messing up with radios and different versions of some apps. I don't mean to be rude to anyone, but there are a lot of people who don't really understand what they are doing. Hell, problems can come even from crap apps that mess up the restore with their data. This is a risk we all take when installing a leaked os.
But it's fine, we all learn new things, we can help and get help, that's the beauty of the forum .

    4. Hit cancel
    5. In you mobile go to setting and login to your BBID
    5. Restore using link and it will succeed

Note. If restoring stuck on 100% reboot the device by holding the power button for 10 second

Note 2. If you already logged in BBID you will have to do a security wipe and start from step 2

Note 3. Didn't try this method on this leak but worked for me when I get back from 10.2 to 10.1

Note 4. And the finall do it at your own risk xD

Holy schnikeys, Batman! I was so pre-occupied wearing out the fingerprints on my right index finger constantly banging F5 on the 10.2.0.4XXX OS Screenshot thread that this leak totally snuck in without me noticing! Just finished downloading it and am about to install it stat! Yes, I am a leak junkie!!!

Question, in the original post, it says to do a security wipe after the install. I usually do one on my current OS before I do the install. Does it make a difference? I just want to save the hassle of having to do the entire setup an extra time only to have to do the security wipe and re-do the setup all over again.

Thanks to balenax for leaking this OS! I've got an STL100-3 on Rogers and in reading through the thread, it looks like this leak is going to treat me well!
Since I've been having a whole load of issues with my z10 I just say screw link, back up contacts to the intouch app, security wipe, load the os then security wipe again just to try and get the best performance.. hopefully this leak does wonders for me

Short term data via battery guru.
Overnight drain was overall no worse than previous builds for example. But only real life usage can tell.

nice username and password. maybe you should consider changing it?
to the topic now, I have been running this OS since yesterday and it is very smooth.
evaluating as we speak the consumption. when I get a hold of my laptop, I will get back in terms of bblink cooperation etc.

I accepted add on that screen, then after it takes you back to the normal BB10 options where you can switch off calendar and contact sync

loaded this OS last night, first observations are good! restored first time no probs!

im on o2 UK icame from the hybrid mashup! everything went smooth the security wipe took 20 mins and the reload took about an hour!

so far so good! i have noticed heavy battery drain but that normal upon installing a new OS untill it syncs everything up! will have a play during work and see how it fares compared to the mashup hybrid.

Big Thank you to the OP who posted this leak!!

Just a heads up if you're loading this up to 'try' it out, don't revert to a different version in less than 24-48 hours... Now that my Q10 has been booted for 10+ hours and rebooted my battery life has fallen right back in line with what I expect. For a while there it was chewing through them as fast as I could charge them in the sidecar charger (separate battery pack charger).

Anyway, it was pretty glitchy and not very smooth for nearly the first 12+ hours after I loaded it. Now that everything is synced up and things have had a chance to settle down my battery drain & heat are back to normal.

So the key with this leak so far IMHO is patience... Let it percolate a bit before judging it completely...
