I "upgraded" from 10.2.1.2141 to 10.2.1.3175 when it became available through Sachesi. My experience with 3175 was awful, especially regarding the battery life, although there were also some other issues, such as picture password deactivating and apps shutting off on their own.

I have since then "downgraded" back to 2141, though some aspects of 3175 seem to have "travelled back" at least to my device (Z-10 STL100-1), as would be the case with pre-selected email deletion options (blue dot positioned on "delete only from hub" or "delete from hub and server" options), as well as alarmingly awful battery life (very por health and ultra-fast drainage), and BB Link connectivity problems.

I've two questions concerning all this:
    (a) Can I upgrade (whenever it's available on Sachesi) to this newly spotted 10.2.1.3247 from 10.2.1.2141 or do I have to "upgrade" first to 10.2.1.3175, and from then to 3247?
    (b) Is it normal to bring back issues from "upgraded" OS to prior versions when downgrading? If not, what may have caused this in my case?

a). Yes you can upgrade right to 3247 without 3175 first.

b). It might depend on how you downgraded. I've downgraded a few times in the early stages between 10.2.0 and 10.2.1 and never had a problem. But I did a security wipe and also installed with an auto installer which also wipes everything for a fresh start.

I know it sucks but you might want to do a totally fresh install next time around. And don't restore anything using BlackBerry Link. Backup your contacts and texts and BBMS and pics etc with a 3rd party app and restore using the app. Or move things to your SD card and love them back after you upgrade. You can always try a non destructive upgrade first. See how it goes then do an installer upgrade if you don't like what you see.

    Senel,

    Thanks for the info.

Just tried search using Sachesi (on my Q10...nice), for CZ O2 - 230 02 and any Q10

    Came back SQN 100-3 OS 19.2.1.3175 + Radio: 10.2.1.3140

Then tried Version Lookup for 10.2.1.3247, and worked.

qc8960.factory_sfi.desktop-10.2.1 [can't read rest of filename on the Q10 screen]
    size is 1.30 GB...

Downloading it to the Q10 now, with Sachesi !!!!

I might add, doing the same version lookup on Sachesi and then grabbing the links, it shows .3248 radios as well, to go along with the OS.
However, those links are not active for download. But it has me wondering...

I see that UK is lucky with Z10.
C = 234, Carrier 30 or 33 is working with the new update.
Too bad the Netherlands is still at 10.2.1.2102

I guess no changes to the android runtime? I loaded 10.3 on my z30 and am able to run way more android apps. So I guess switching to this would be a downgrade on the android runtime?

    Just last bit of info,

After downloading via Sachesi on my Q10, the full file name is

    qc8960.factory_sfi.desktop-10.2.1.3247-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar

    size 1.21 GB

    Just the one file.

Missed how to determine where the file came from with Sachesi.

Tried, several times, to use Sachesi to load this one .bar file into the Q10.

After a few failed atempts using an Asus Netbook, I followed carefully. Twice Sachesi got to aroung 49 per cent...then went back to 0 per cent, and the Q10 was still on OS 10.2.1.3175

So I'm really lost as to what's going on. Giving up for the night.

Any suggestions, please let me know, and I'll try in the morning, Eastern US time/

    Kind regards
