I thought I'd be the guinea pig for a change.....

10.3.1.2072 is the same as all the other leaks. All settings etc. wiped upon restart.

Hope this saves some other blue LED people some time.

I would think that no update is very informative.

Yeah, that's what I'm gathering unfortunately. I'm watching this forum all the time for someone to say their "wipe everything on reboot" is fixed.

True, but we can only hope. I would try it, but it would mean I have to call my IT department to provision my email again. Something I have way too many opened and closed tickets on.

    FWIW.....Update.

10.3.1.2072 worked quite well but had the blue LED wipe as usual.
10.3.1.2243 also had no major issues. As I had expected a OTA update imminently, I was switching Flight Mode on at bedtime and didn't actually test the restart issue.
10.3.1.2267 was loaded yesterday. Works perfectly well so far, and I did try a restart - settings wiped, same as ever.

I don't see the point in going back and checking 2243 for the wipe. I have repeatedly promised myself not to load any more leaks but I seem to hold out some tiny vestige of hope that a newer leak will just finally bloody work.

So nothing has changed in the last couple of months - people with blue LED devices are awaiting their OTA updates. As I mentioned in a previous post, when I've rolled back to 10.2 - by autoloading an old OS and then allowing Blackberry Link to update to Vodafone UK's latest 10.2 - the phone has restarted and consistently behaved in a normal fashion, despite still displaying that extended blue LED on restarts.

Those of us affected have to hope that official updates bypass this hugely frustrating issue. And if you're addicted to leaks....get another Blackberry.

Would probably have already taken the plunge for a Passport had that AT&T version not appeared - that extended chin HAS to make it easier to type. Doesn't it?

    Q10 on Vodafone UK.

i have tmobile so i have no choice but to do this... the only way i made this work was to turn in my phone and have it replaced it was damaged anyways. Soon as i got the phone i connected the phone to my computer and ran the autoloader before even turning on the blackberry and it works perfect!! So the phone im guessing has to be completely wiped everything must be gone for it to work. Or you can do like i can and get your phone replaced.

Yeah that is just fine and dandy. My question to you is. Did but have to pay the 100 bucks for the exchange and indeed wait for your phone to be mailed to you? Yes or no.

Because somehow you left out those critical details.

hi, i dropped my Z10 , then after about 10 minutes it restarted automatically, blue led appeared on boot, but it was faster, when the phone is wiping, so after the boot i have all data and settings, a little bit wierd, but good, OS: 10.3.1.2243

Nope my phone is insured through tmobiile so they had to replace it. I don't think you quite get from when i say completely wipe i mean an entire erasing of everything on the phone including the OS! I dont know how to do it but thats the only way it will work cause my phone i have now the new one didnt get a chance to install the 10.2... That's the issue and now all you have to do is figure out how to clean a blackberry down to its bare minimal then your good to go

I think when this is all said and done there will probably be just one little ol' byte in nvram that needs to be changed from a 01 to a 00 (or vice versa) to make a Blue LED Q10 work properly.

Now, knowing what needs to be changed, and being ABLE to change it.. that's another story lol.

If the OTA upgrade of 10.3.1 still doesn't work, I don't know if I have energy to continue with a new BB. Will probably sulk on android for a few months until I get sick of not having a keyboard.

I have my phone insured through t-mobile. Every time I call. They want 100 bucks. Also. Read the entire thread. The OS has been wiped. Hundreds of times. It's just obvious that you now have a version that hasn't been affected.

    It's as simple as that.

Also experiencing this issue after installing .2267 a few days ago. Really frustrated. The actual OS works terrific (even WiFi calling surprisingly)--except that whenever the phone restarts or is powered down for any reason, everything is factory reset after reboot.

It appears that this issue has been happening for some time, and there are many threads about it, but NO ONE has solution still.

One other very interesting bit of detail I've noticed is that if you try restoring a previous backup via Blackberry Link software, I ALWAYS get an error that says "Unable to save device name" (and the restore fails). I'm thinking that the factory reset after each reboot issue and the error message are somehow related.

    Using T-Mobile Q10 (SQL 5)...

It's crazy how mostly T-Mobile phones are affected, do you think it may be from a broken 10.2 file??

I did an upgrade to 10.3.1.1450 10.3.1.2072 OS and it has survived atleast 1 reboot so far. I had the same blue light issue. I did some fooling around with the sachesi refurbish date function. I also did a multi-wipe SIC thing this time for first time. I don't have any blue light now. I think the issue is with getting flagged as refurbished. I think some of us have t-mobile replacements. Maybe something is getting flagged with Blackberry protect or something and it thinks it needs to wipe data. That's just my thoughts. I am waiting to upgrade to final hopefully this fixes all our devices. I had some success with 10.3.0 before after fooling with the refurb function in sachesi but then the blue light would come on after several reboots and then wipe until a backup I had restored. Not really sure the combination of things that actually fixed mine. Maybe I was lucky. I might have caused the issue to begin with though screwing with the refurb date function. Mine is now off the refurb flag.
