I think a full Android OS is being developed out of house.

Even if in-house, it would probably require different infrastructure to accommodate - hence not found on traditional servers.

This exactly. I'd put money on it. Resources have been moved away from BB10, hence development has slowed to a crawl. Android is the future.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Java, QNX, or Android. If BlackBerry builds a quality device, and does a great job with the interface, it's a BlackBerry.

The problem is very few in "the crowd" care about BB10 or BlackBerry and it doesn't provide the apps that BackBerry's enterprise customers want. We've seen BB10 app development come to a near standstill, and BlackBerry device sales continue to decline.

He most likely answered to the best of his ability. It was a straight forward answer without giving anything away. For all we know he might be under NDA and can not disclose any further information. So I don't think it's fair to say he's teasing.

Oh for G_d sake. We most certainly can tease. We're there any shareable information, someone would have posted it already. All this thread can do is inspire pointless speculation, of which the forum has already had plenty.

Relax, there should be 10.3.3 spotted soon. In the meantime, scour over the CB10 app, as I know there's a report button contained somewhere.

Maybe we need a thread to find it...

For those of you who have followed BB10 development you will know that something is up.

For a long time, we have had the ability to scan various BlackBerry servers to identify BB10 builds that are under development. We mostly can't download the builds that we see but we know they are out there.

Something appears to be different now. Back in June, BlackBerry confirmed that 10.3.3 is under development. But, while it is under development, there is no sign of it at all on BlackBerry's servers.

This is unusual. It has never happened before as far as I can remember.

We have a mystery on our hands.

Does anyone have any insight or speculation about how to account for this?

    I'm stumped.

Don't assume that the lack of updates to the developer roadmap means anything.

BlackBerry recently parted ways with their global developer ecosystem head. The circumstances are somewhat curious - he wasn't able to move to Canada to do his job, which the position required.

Point is, this individual needed to be in Waterloo to be effective at his job, and he wasn't able to be there. I suspect he wasn't able to manage his department very effectively from afar, so who knows what all has lagged? A developer roadmap just tells the public what's being planned; it isn't necessary for actually doing the internal development, and could have fallen through the cracks if it wasn't treated as a priority, or if the department wasn't well run.
