    Hi,
I have been avoiding android apps since I got my passport but I think i'm going to finally give them a try! I was going to sideload Snap but was wondering which version of Snap I should install? I have used v2 before on my Z10 but hav not tried v3. Are there any advantages to loading one over the other. Thanks

3 is a beta and i have had mixed results using it. Try version 2 first maybe and see what you think as far as it running on your Z10

    +1. I didn't like v3 and went back to 2.0.0.2.

V3 seemed too clunky, slow, crashed a lot, and had a bug where after o downloaded an app, it wouldn't install it. (plus I wasn't a fan of the visual changes but that's a personal issue)

V3 works great for me. Like it more than V2. Never had a problem.

Version 3 needs more work, so I still use v2. Hopefully it will release before end of year

I like the look of v3 more but v2 seems to have less issues for me.

For example, the official Starbucks app wont show up as a search result in v3 to be installed. However, it will on v2. This was confirmed across multiple BB10 phones I tried (two Z30's, one Classic, and 2 Q5's) to ensure it wasn't a one off. As soon as I uninstalled v3 and reinstalled v2, I could install the Starbucks app.

I was curious about this, so tried it out, and I can confirm that I had the Starbucks problem with v3 also. I've been using v3 exclusively for a while without any other issues. I switched to the v3 beta because it allows you to remove apps from your library.

If you could make patched Google play store automatically patch as downloaded(if needed) that would be awesome.

Now it makes sense! Aside from the Starbucks issue, I haven't noticed any problems mind you I try to keep the Android apps to the absolute minimum. I only downloaded 2 apps.

I am finding v3 beta very buggy. It often shows am available update, but requires several attempts to get it to install.

Yup. That's what I meant by clunky. It just...isn't dailydriver ready, and that's coming from a person who loves to live on the bleeding edge.

So far, I only had problems with it and the few benefits it does provide (visuals + removing app from library) I just don't care about.

I had the same issue then I noticed if you remove the previous download from the download tab I had no problem downloading the update.
