I have a Classic and was starting to get a little annoyed at its sluggishness and bad battery life, often bombing out after ten hours of light use. I'd previously upgraded the OS a few times via Sachesi Blitz updates and run a few Android apps, but nothing terribly taxing.

To see if it would make a difference, I did a security wipe and reloaded 10.3.2.2339 with an Autoloader and it is now like having a new phone. All the same apps, but everything working much more fast and fluid.

If you're in the same position, it might be worth a try.

I wish I was in your shoes. A wipe and a clean install just gave me the same poor battery life. Oh I have a Z10 that is the reason for the battery life

Any idea how to solve phone app lag (slow checking balance)?

I had tried autoloader OS 10.3.2.680, had tried autoloader OS 10.3.2.798, and tried autoloader OS 10.3.2.840, had done Sachesi OS 10.3.2.858 and final autoloader OS 10.3.2.2339, I had tried once wipe security (I forgot in which of OS 10.3.2 that I did), all don't fix the phone app lag. If you restart your device, remove battery and put it back, it will fix for temporary only, after a day of use, the problem will come back.

OP just wait. 2252 was released by my carrier for the classic. 2339 for the passport. I had 2339 on my classic and it sucked

a update will come for sure , just don't know when.
i found 10.3.2 unstable and i tried all the leaks.
sudden battery drain , freezing pim services which heat up the phone , lag etc...

reboot did not always fix the problems so yeah i'm on a other os again since yesterday.

I did Sachesi to load OS 10.2.2 three days ago in my Z10 and it made hang (very very lag much when want to unlock device password), I did wipe security and then autoloader OS 10.3.2.798, so, now I use OS 10.3.2.798.

There was an update to BBM and blend today. I'm nearly certain many of the battery problems were linked to BBM misbehaving, particularly if you have long conversation threads or more than one conversation at a time. I have been running many tests before and after the update, and all arrows are pointing that direction because my passport has been cool as a cucumber since the update with all my battery burning BBM tests running. Update BBM and see if that helps too.

Perhaps.. but I think for me most battery problems stem from what seems like irregularities in BBM. I can see it in device monitor. There are distinct inflection points where my phone starts to heat up and BBM cpu ramps, only to settle when I close all chats and delete histories.
The most recent update seemed to help.

Another factor that greatly affects battery life and seems to make the phone sluggish is signal strength. Low of fluctuating signal, whether network or wifi will play havoc with your battery and UI smoothness.

It is true, LocatioN turn oFF too is help saving battery life. Save the doc and pictures on media card . The device operation is smooth and no sluggish app.
